Today we'll be taking a look at the 6 by 8 Erickson Heavy Duty silver tarp with a 14 by 14 weave. Part number EM5702. Check e-trailer.com for different available sizes. our trailer here today, as you can see, has a different variety of size boxes on it. We've chosen to use the 6 by 8 tarp today so let's go ahead and take it out of the bag and drape it over our trailer. I went ahead and secured our tarp down to our trailer using the Erickson Bungee Balls. They come in a quantity of 10. That's part number EM06650.
They've got a good 12 inch stretch length. I'll simply just take my loop, feed it through my grommet, and then down through the trailer hole, and secure it just like that. It's an all purpose tarp that you can use for a variety of applications. It's got a nice 14 by 14 weave with a nylon thread. It's going to provide superior strength. Another great thing about this tarp is it's got a polyethylene coating. It's going to help resist UV rays and mildew.
It's got reinforced plastic corners to help prevent wear and tear. The nice thing about this tarp is that it's got a light silver gray color, and it's reflective so it's going to prevent heat absorption. It features rust resistant grommets every 3 feet along the edge of the tarp, which gives us multiple tie down points. I am using this tarp for my leaf removal service. I put the leaves on the tarp and drag them to the street. I bought this tarp several times already, because it is the perfect size and it is heavy duty enough, so I can use it on 50 jobs or so. I would definitely recommend it.

Lasted 6 months in the idaho sun before degrading and tearing and needing to be thrown out. It's probably no different than other fiberglass tarps in this area, so I invested in a sunbrella tarp to cover the camper.

Would not recommend this product to my worse enemy
Used to cover my boat lasted one month and started shredding. Right out of the package all folded seams had pinholes.

Even after tying this tarp down with Erickson Bungey Ball Bungee Cord Tie-Downs at recommend points and adding more bungees to other tie-down holes along with cargo straps being added over the top of the tarp and items that were covered - This tarp was "shredded" apart with 50 miles of travel while driving at 65 mph. It didn't just shred, it literally fell apart along seams flaring everywhere. Becoming a danger to my cargo and other motorists. Extremely unsatisfied with this purchase.
I'll post pictures as soon as the wind dies down here and I can spread the tarp out to show this disaster of a product.
I have ordered this product, because I needed it for leaf removal. I was looking for a heavy duty tarp, what can take dragging. Also was looking for a size, what I can handle easily, and fit into my 6x12 enclosed trailer. I got whatever I was expecting. As soon as they wear out, I am going to order this product again. Perfect size, heavy duty for a reasonable price. The only problem was with it, that I needed 4 of them, and they had to backorder 2 of them from the manufacturer. I had to wait an extra week or so, but it was worth it. Thank you.
