This wheel was made for serious weight handling. Rated at 5,675 lbs and built from fine-grained steel, it’s strong enough for dual-wheel duty. The ±5.59" offset means it fits perfectly as either the inner or outer position in a dual setup, helping keep your load centered and balanced. It’s a hub-piloted design using flange nuts (sold separately) for a solid, secure mount every time.
Rust doesn’t stand a chance with this wheel’s triple-layer process. It starts with a zinc phosphate bath, then an e-coat primer, and finishes with baked-on silver DuPont powder coat on both sides. That full-coverage finish keeps the metal sealed against moisture and road grime for lasting durability and a clean look season after season.
The 8 on 275 mm bolt circle and 8.7" pilot diameter make this wheel easy to match to the right hub setup. It uses 5/8"-18 lug nuts and a hub-piloted center for confident alignment and secure installation. Whether you’re setting up one wheel or a full dual pair, the dimensions are consistent and clearly defined for dependable fitment.
Each wheel comes with a metal valve stem already in place, so you’re ready to mount your tires without extra parts runs. If you prefer longer stems for easier access, valve extenders like the Wheel Masters #WM8001 or #WM8001-135 can be added to suit your setup while keeping inflation simple and quick.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're going to take a look at the Taskmaster silver 17 1/2-inch by 6 3/4-inch heavy duty steel dual wheel. It is a hub-piloted design, and it has a bolt pattern of 8 on 275 millimeters. Now, this heavy-duty wheel is designed for use on dually trucks, buses and trailers. You can see the offset on it allows this wheel to be used as either an inner or an outer wheel of a dual-wheel setup. The steel wheel itself has the four hand holds. I can turn a little bit. You can see there's one each side here and one at the top and one at the very bottom.
It's very sturdy and corrosion resistant. The wheel goes through a three-step finishing process, which will first include a zinc phosphate bath, then an e-coat primer, and then silver powder coat on both sides of the wheels. The center disk, right here in the middle, it's spun form from a fine-grain steel. You can see all the way around it's welded into place for strength and durability. It is a hub-piloted wheel, so it does require the use of 90-degree cone lug nuts when installing this. We do sell those separately on our website.
The metal valve stem is included. See if I can turn it around so you can get to see that. Here's your metal valve stem. It has an angle to it, so you can access it. This wheel does meet the SAEJ1204 standards. A few specs on this: The dimension of the wheel ...
Let's turn it this way and get a better . Is 17 1/2 inches, and that's always measured inside to inside. The width on it is 6 3/4 inches. Now, the bolt pattern, this is your large bolt pattern right here, is an 8 on 275 millimeters, so actually the millimeters translates also to about 10.83 inches. If you just measure on a wheel that has an even number of lugs, in this case 8, just measure directly across, center to center ...
You can see if we go center to center you get 10.83 inches. It does use the wheel lug size I had mentioned of 5/8 by 18 and it does require the 90-degree cone lug nuts. Again, we sell these separately. I happened to pull one here. It's part number 6-109. It's designed to go right in there. The weight capacity on this is 5,675 pounds. The pilot hole diameter, which is this large hole right here that goes over the hub on your axle . Can see if we measure across, is going to be right at 8.7 inches, and this wheel does have an offset of positive or negative, depending if you use it as an inner or outer wheel of 5.59 inches offset. That should do it for the review on the Taskmaster silver 17 1/2 by 6 3/4-inch heavy duty steal dual wheel hub-piloted design with the 8 on 275-millimeter bolt pattern.

good product , just wish the valve stem was rated for 14 ply tires(110 psi)
i'd rather it shipped without. the valve stem they use is short anyway so its hard to get an airchuck on it
This fit my 10k Dexter axle perfect. The fit and finish are fantastic. Hardest part was taking off a wheel from the trailer to make sure I got the right pilot size hub. May order another to have (2) spares on hand. Fast shipping and awesome customer service.
I've only ordered a couple items, the cab lights I ordered at Christmas were back ordered but I waited to long before I ordered them. The service was great it was exactly what they said it would be, Etrailer even called to see if I would be interested in changing lights just to get them here on time.
The wheels I ordered on Friday were delivered on Monday, I have NO issues with Etrailer there honest and dependable
That's alot in this day
Thanks
Dennis H
All in all they appear to be a pretty good wheel especially for the price point. The only reason I didn't give a five star as there were a couple of spots that must have missed in powder coating and were rusty. It wasn't a big deal as I planned on powder coating them black anyway
I was very PLEASED with first the price of the trailer wheel. I was EXTREEMLY PLEASED with FREE SHIPPING, and MORE than that, with the speed of regular delivery. I have added ETRAILER to my favorites. I will always look here first, when I need something for one of the trailers!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE ARE VERY HAPPY CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frustrating that these nice wheels come with crummy valve stems. The wheels are rated for 3860lbs. The only way to get there is to use 110 psi tires, which requires a metal valve stem. Would be much better for them to come without valve stems and give us the option on selecting a valve stem during checkout. If nothing else, tell us they come with low pressure stems. I bet there is more than a few people running around at 110 psi with the stock stems.
I bought these wheels for use as spares and for the money I would buy these wheels again. These wheels appear well made with good welds. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is because the wheels do not have the notch cut out for the valve stem which means that the valve stem rubs against the wheel. I resolved this by removing the valve stems that came with the wheels and installed curved metal stems. These wheels are not as heavy as my factory wheels. Again, my factory wheels I was quoted $200.00 each and this wheel is $xx.xx, so for a spare, you do the math! Etrailer was great to work with.
These wheels look good and seem to be of good quality. They arrived in good time. I purchased these for my 1985 ford class c motorhome .
The price seemed really reasonable. These wheels are 16" to replace the original 16.5" wheels currently on the vehicle. The 16.5" tires, I here, going the way of the dinosaur. I won't be installing these until next spring. The agents I talked with seemed very knowledgeable and courteous.
Great quality product, your wheels replaced my damaged factory wheels perfect. And your info video made it so easy to pick the right wheels. From start to finish great service thanks for getting my trailer back on the road.
I was looking for what I thought would be easy to find common replacement wheels for a dual tandem trailer, I was having no luck finding any decently priced wheels locally so I Shopped online and found the E-Trailer website. It was easy to navigate and had good descriptions of the wheels and the prices were half of anything local. They shipped them for free after a specified amount, (gotta love free shipping). The wheels arrived in well packaged packaging and were just as described. My original tires were mounted on the new rims and I was quite surprised that they required hardly just one wheel weight each compared to the original rims that had weights lined up on both sides they were so bad, just goes to show the high quality of manufacturing that e-trailer carries. The only problem now is that the rest of my wheels look really bad in comparison and I'm tempted to replace the other six............................Hmmmm........ Maybe later.
Good product, great service, fast deliv ery!

Outstanding customer service, courteous, fast and reasonably priced. We will definitely be a repeat customer.
Priced great super fast shipping
Fast shipping and they haid what I needed.
Definitely will buy from them again
The wheels arrived on the day that E Trailer said they would.
Product is great! Shipping box was not strong enough for these very heavy wheels. Wheels were scratched but we excepted them as is.
Fast delivery and right product
Excellent customer service. Great communication, free and fast shipping.
