This 12" x 4" steel wheel is made to handle moisture and road grime without rusting out. The galvanized finish provides superior protection from corrosion, making it a great option where water exposure is part of the job. You get lasting durability from sturdy steel construction with an 8-spoke pattern that meets Department of Transportation standards.
When you’re hauling gear or equipment, capacity matters. This wheel carries up to 1,250 lbs and uses a 0 offset to keep the load centered over the hub for balanced support. It’s built to handle everyday use with the right mix of strength and reliability in a 12" steel rim design.
Getting the fit right is simple with clear specs. This wheel uses a common 4 on 4" bolt pattern, a 2.84" pilot diameter, and a wheel bolt size of 1/2"-20. The even bolt layout means easy alignment on compatible hubs, so mounting stays quick and worry-free.
At 9 lbs, this wheel has enough heft to stay stable on the road without adding unnecessary weight. It’s lug centric, so alignment is guided by the lugs rather than the hub—perfect when you need consistent tightening and balanced rotation.
This galvanized steel spoke wheel meets all DOT specifications for safety and performance. Backed by a limited 2-year warranty, it’s built for dependable service mile after mile while keeping maintenance low and confidence high.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Americana 12" by 4" galvanized steel spoke trailer wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern. Now this is a steel wheel. It is the eight spoke design and it is a galvanized finish which provides superior protection from rust and corrosion. The galvanized finish wheels like this one are mainly used in marine applications where you're going to be around water.
If you notice, it does include the valve stem is all installed. This wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. A few specs on this, we're going to measure the diameter and the width. The diameter of the wheel is 12" and that's always measured inside to inside. So if we get our tape measure and if we go straight across there, as you can see, 12" diameter.
The width on the wheel is also measured inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. It's right at 4" wide. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel, you can see, is a four lug. It's a four on four inch bolt pattern and if you want to measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case, four. It's pretty easy because the lug holes are right across from each other. So you just pick whatever lug hole you want, measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the one right across from it.
It'll measure 4". So this is a four on four inch bolt pattern. The wheel lug size that this uses is a half inch by 20. The weight capacity on this wheel is 1,250 pounds and the last measurement is the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, goes over the hub on your trailer. Diameter of this opening is 2.84".
But that should do it for the review on the Americana 12" by 4" galvanized steel spoke trailer wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern.

Perfect, just what I wanted and it also came faster than I thought it would. Thank you again for great service at a fair price...........
Great item and fast shipping.Thanks
Ok wheels but had lots of rough areas and excess flashing from the galvanizing that I had to smooth out.
Always top quality items, shipped fast, excellent communication. Good enough reasons to keep coming back:)
Good quality at a good price. I have tow others on a small trailer, and they have weathered well, no issues withe galv coating etc.
No air valve included. Post surgery trying to get ready. You gave me a whole bunch of extra work.
Arrived on time perfect condition.
works perfect and looks great for my boat trailer .

Exactly what I was looking for, exactly as pictured. Super fast shipping!
Just as described, just what I needed. Great company to deal with! Fast shipping, too.
Very nice wheel..
I only wished it had valve stems,
But no big deal...
Thank you!
People need to read the bad reviews as well. Some of the reviews said the wheels were crap. I thought with the bad reviews, something would have been done about the blemished wheels. I was wrong. My wheels were very disappointing to me. They looked like they covered up rust or something like it. I'm so disappointed in the product, especially after watching your video. Sorry to say "fool me once" I can't see using etrailer ever again.
These wheels still looks like new after 3500 miles of use. Great seal on the bead and valve stem.
Just received this rim for a replacement on my boat trailer. Old one got ruined. very quick turn around time from order to delivery. Haven't mounted a tire on it yet but the rim looks to be very good quality.
FAST DELIVERY: I ordered online late Sunday afternoon; these were delivered to my porch in West Texas on Wednesday. (I've ordered from eTrailer a few times over the years; same good experience each time.)
I had tried painting my old white wheels; the paint did not stick well, so I threw up my hands and ordered these, which I had previously considered.
APPEARANCE: Now, these are not chrome; they are galvanized and therefore have every right to look like your grandmother's galvanized wash tub. But these (I ordered three) look very much like the photo, which to me appears to be a semi-gloss, slightly uneven chromed look. So these wheels do, at casual glance, appear to have been chrome plated; on closer inspection, the galvanized irregularity is visible, a mildly waxy sheen or such.
My white painted wheels lasted 20+ years, then became a bit rusty; I expect these to last much longer.
Galvanized 12 inch trailer rims arrived very fast. 1 rim had small bent spot/ding that did not affect tire seating ability. Galvanizing was very good. Overall quality was very good. Mounted Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial tires, which are speed rated to 81 mph. I depend on etrailer for my small boat trailer wheels and tires. I tow this small trailer about 15,000 miles a year, so need quality and service. Thanks etrailer.
I had a couple of issues with the wheels with the first being, there was some roughness in the galvanized finish so that one of the tires would not bead properly until the unevenness was sanded down.
The second was that while the galvanized finish on the back of the wheel was nice and constant, the front of the wheel had an uneven finish and was kind of blotchy. Bummed I couldn't flip the wheel, but living with it.
The finish on this wheel was pretty rough. It appeared to have curb rash on the circumference and there were paint flakes in the lug nut/ valve stem holes. It’s hard to tell if this was a brand new wheel with a horrible paint job that also dripped down all on one side or if it was welded and refurbished and then sold as new. The tire mounted OK, with no apparent leaks so far. I guess it will be OK for my Harbor Freight light utility trailer, unless it starts leaking or it comes apart some how.

During the galvanization process the wheels are dipped into the solution and then are drip dried. Which means that it can allow for a rougher finish, and is probably why it is is looking dripped more on one side than the other.
Exactly what I was looking for. Got the tires mounted on the rims last week and gonna get them on the trailer today.
I received exactly what I ordered and very quickly! The tires and wheels still look great
Usually purchase in person, then it's what you see is what you get. Online it's what you don't see... these tires are (DATE STAMPED) week 37 of 2023 and considered old stock sold as new! Galvanized wheels have globs of coating size or a quarter, other than these major issues that I emailed to @ ETRAILER without response, good things: very fast delivery, as my trailers wheels and tires were stolen preventing planned trip! Oh yea...packaged very good with extra protection. No reason for pics or videos, my statement is not the first,,,
I had both wheels installed this afternoon after receiving the package arrived as scheduled. They look great. See attachments. L.p.pI can't wait to haul stuff with these new sets of wheels on my utility trailer. Great products with excellent service. For sure, i will continue to purchase stuff from etrailer. Thank you.
I recently purchased a galvanize rim four on four for my trailer I bought the rim to use as a spare but I like the way it looks on the trailer so I'm going to get one for the other side. I will use my black rim as a spare.
I bought a pair of these wheels to replace the existing rusty painted wheels on my boat trailer- nice improvement! Here are before and after pictures.
Quick shipping from etrailer, but I wish I had noticed that these don't come with valve stems before I ordered. I got the high-pressure stems from them soon enough though. Like others have said about these, they look shinier in the pics then they really are. Some of the welds were a bit rough, and the finish wasn't perfect, but a liberal amount of elbow grease got them looking great. Huge improvement from the ugly old wheels I had.
So far I'm happy. We'll see how they look after some use.
