arrived quickly stake pockets are of good quality

by:

Added these to supplement the pockets that the trailer manufacture had provided on the trailer. Can not have too many pockets spaced around the trailer to tie down loads in the most secure manner. They are well made and easy to weld on to the trailer

very well. i can tie loads where i want to rather than were the trailer manufacture placed pockets

by:

Just a piece of metal, a little pricey for a C shaped piece of plate metal, but worked good and saved time on fabrication. Appeared to be slightly wider than the factory installed 2x4 pockets on my trailer, but work great for tie downs. Had them installed for over a year.

by:

Ordered a few Curt Stake Pocket weld-on brackets for my cargo trailer: it was easy, etrailer.com has great products and I received it when they said it would arrive. Thanks, guys!

by:

These stake pockets are very well made, clean and easy to weld onto my flatbed car hauler. My stake
D-rings fit perfectly in these pockets. I needed a couple extra pockets on my trailer and these filled the bill. I would certainly purchase these again from etrailer, great experience.

by:

Wow, great first experience with eTrailer! The part price was very reasonable, and the service was outstanding. Our order was small, we need only one replacement weld-on stake pocket. The stake pocket C83072 was exactly a match to the existing ones on our trailer. Steel edges are a little sharp but quality, size, and fit were good.

by:

The brackets match the existing brackets on my 18’ flatbed. The price was much less than those that I bought at a well known farm supply dealer and the brackets were delivered promptly.

by:

A bit pricey for bar with two bends.
Annoying
part was having to remove 1/8" to 3/16" from one side to get the pockets to be square and flat to my trailer frame. A person should not have to rework such a simple fabricated part. After trimming and squaring, the pockets seem to be OK.

by:

I received the products as described, and they were exactly as presented. they will work perfectly for the side of my Trailer. They were received quickly and priced well too.

by:

Stake pockets arrived very promptly and as described in the add. I am very pleased with the entire process.

by:

What I needed for a fair price. Never let down from etrailer. Thanks!

by:

Great communication, fast shipping! I have not welded on trailer yet.

by:

Exactly as described. Fast shipping.

by:

Great communication, fast shipping! I have not welded on trailer yet.

by:

Product was as stated, arrived when stated. Excellent Product and on time shipping.

by:

1 bracket was not good. A definitely bad one and should not have been shipped. The other 15 were perfect. The bad bracket cost you a star.

by:

These weld on stake bed cleats are exactly what I was looking for. They match the existing cleats of the trailer (which does not have enough of them) so I can transform a 14 ft. flat bed trailer into a stake bed trailer.

by:

Just what I wanted. The description was perfect. Fast shipping and great price!

by:

The service was awesome!! Fast, fast shipping.

Thank
you.

by:

Great service good product, The only issue with the stake pockets is that they needed to be ground down the edges were sharp on all of the pockets.

by:

Angled cuts and very sharp edges on 3 of the 4 purchased, definitely need a quick finishing before installing if you ever plan to touch them, otherwise a good fit.

by:

These are good quality pockets, some of the best I have seen

  • How Thick Is The Metal The CE Smith Weld-On Stake Pocket CES55WR Is Made Of?
Hello Jerry, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the CE Smith Weld-On Stake Pockets # CES55WR are a bit thicker than the Curt # C83072. I went out to our warehouse and measured both. The Ce Smith # CES55WR is 0.22" thick. The Curt # C83072 is 0.18" thick. They will both work with a standard 2"x4" stake.

  • Weight Capacity of Curt Stake Pocket for Flatbed Trucks or Trailers
Hey Bo! Weld-on stake pockets like the Curt Stake Pocket for Flatbed Trucks or Trailers # C83072 don't have any kind of listed capacity. Companies typically don't test for this since it really depends on the weld. I would say it can handle whatever you need it to as long as it is properly installed by a certified welder. What are you wanting to use these for? If you're trying to hold some kind of extreme amount of weight I would make sure it is distributed between several stake pockets...

  • Stake Pockets for Utility Trailer
We carry a number of stake pockets and you can choose the correct one for your application in terms of size and weld or bolt on. The bolt-on option is the CE Smith Stake Pocket # CE45004G which is 3-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide x 2-1/2" tall, has a stake pocket opening of 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" deep and 3/8" diameter mounting holes. For weld on stake pockets there is the Curt # C83072 which is 4-1/8" long x 1-7/8" wide x 3" tall; the etrailer # HW03-080 which is 3-9/16" wide x 1-9/16" deep x...

  • Difference Between Stake Pockets
I believe you may have been referencing the Curt # C83072 and the etrailer # HW03-080 because the only stake pocket from Redline is the Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchor # WFSPDR which has a D-ring and is much more than twice the Curt because it has a different application. Assuming that, the difference between the two stake pockets is simply the dimensions. The Curt # C83072 has inner dimensions of 3-3/4" long x 1-5/8" wide x 3" tall and has steel which is 3/16" thick, while the etrailer #...

  • What 4-Inch Wide Stake Pockets do You Recommend for My Aluma Trailer?
The best option we have for 4-inch wide weld-on stake pockets are the Curt Stake Pocket for Flatbed Trucks or Trailers - Qty 1 # C83072. These particular pockets measure 3-3/4 inches wide x 3 inches tall. The pocket is designed for standard 2x4 boards, which measures 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" thick. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows the dimensions of the pocket. It is important to note that these are not made of aluminum.

  • Which Stake Pocket Fits a Standard 2x4 Without Cutting the 2x4
The inside dimensions of the # C83072 Curt Stake Pocket for Flatbed Trucks or Trailers are 3-3/4" long x 1-5/8" wide x 3" tall. A standard 2x4 measures 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" thick. Given these dimensions the 2x4 should fit inside of the bracket without a need to cut anything. I have attached a review video for your reference.

  • Do 2x4s Get Attached Into the Stake Pocket # C83072
Typically there is a wall section built of wood and the stake pockets like part # C83072 allow the 2 x 4s to install. Usually the top section of the wall is attached at the front and back of the flat bed in some way which will hold the boards into the pockets. These pockets are designed to fit the standard 2x4 size and allow a bit of movement but if the walls built that use the pockets are secured properly the extra space would not be an issue.

  • Compatibility of the Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchor Part # WFSPDR
The Stake Pocket Tie-Down Anchor part # WFSPDR is designed to fit in a standard 2x4 stake pocket opening which actually measures to be around 3-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide inside to inside. If the "5x1.75inch" you provided is formatted length x width then this tie-down would not be a good fit for you and I recommend adding part # C83072 in order to accommodate it. I have attached a review video of the above tie-down for you. The dimensions for the tie-down can be found on the product page.

  • Stake Pockets for Wooden Side Stakes on Trailer
It sounds like you're looking for stake pocket brackets to add to your trailer. We have a couple different options that will support 2 x 4 stakes. The # 337B2374GZ which is zinc coated can bolt-on. Something like the Curt # C83072 would require a weld-on installation.
