I am looking for the metal hardware that connects four wooden side stakes to a trailer.

It sounds like you're looking for stake pocket brackets to add to your trailer. We have a couple different options that will support 2 x 4 stakes. The # 337B2374GZ which is zinc coated can bolt-on. Something like the Curt # C83072 would require a weld-on installation.
