1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster Strider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range D. And it's mounted on this 15-inch Revolver silver modular steel trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now, this is a heavy-duty sturdy steel wheel. Has the modular design with the silver finish. When we say modular design, that's the one that has all the round holes that go around the wheel.
Has a silver E-coat finish on it to resist chipping and other damage better than your powder coat finishes. And the finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pretreatment, and then it covers it in E-coat primer layer. This will give you excellent corrosion resistance. Has a salt spray rating of more than 1,000 hours. A few dimensions on the wheel.
The diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is five inches wide. Now, this wheel does have a bolt pattern of 5 on 4 1/2 inches. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this that's an odd number of lugs, in this case five, the way to measure it is pick one of the holes. Let's say this one.
Measure from the center of this hole directly across to either one of these holes. But when you measure it, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to. So on this one, if we measured it, it'd be 4 1/2 inches, so that's telling you it's a 5 lug, 4 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Uses a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,160 pounds. If you notice, this does not come with the center cap.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately. You do wanna get one that'll match the diameter of this pilot hole, 'cause when you install your cap, it fits in through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now, the tire that's on this wheel is a radial tire, so it is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords for nice long life. Great for highway use. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And it is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer Tire. Has the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, ST for Special Trailer, 205/75R15. R means that it is a radial tire. Section width, eight inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, 27.1. We mentioned this tire is a load range D, which means it's an 8 ply rated tire. So it does have a maximum load capacity of 2,150 pounds at 65 PSI. And this tire does have a speed rating on it. And they do stamp it on the sidewall, but it is with a letter designation. And where you'll find it is, usually if you go down by the wheel, you'll see where the tire size is printed again. Right after it, there's two numbers for the load index, and then you'll see the letter N. Speed rating N means 87 miles per hour speed rating. This does come with a two-year Platinum Plus Warranty, which will include roadside service and other benefits. And this assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications, and it will exceed your federal motor vehicle safety standards. Everything was great except for the misleading delivery date. The listed item says it’ll be delivered for “free” 2 days after ordering. So I ordered a set of tires and rims and they didn’t ship out until the “promised delivery date.” A week later they showed up. Whatever you do, don’t expect these to show up as soon as they say. It won’t.
As for the product, just installed one tonight. Time will tell how it performs.

Tire is right size and ok quality for price. Rim has a gouge in it and paint rubbed off kind of a bummer for a brand new rim. And to top it off somehow I ordered the wrong bolt pattern size 5 lug on X size even after using their guide on how to measure. So now have a nice tire with a rim that don’t fit my axel Is cheaper to trade off the rim here local verses paying return shipping fees.
As usual etrailer came through again. Ordered 4 trailer tires on a Sunday evening and they were delivered to my garage on Wednesday! The strider tires with silver wheels look very good on my black enclosed trailer. I always recommend etrailer to family and friends if they need anything related to trailers.
