Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our front hanger for a 1 and 7/8th inch wide slipper spring. It's gonna measure 3 and 7/8th inches tall with a 9/16th inch bolt hole in the center. That's right, folks. So this has been configured as what we call a front hanger.
So as you probably know, you have fronts and rears, and it's gonna provide an attachment point for your leaf spring. So your leaf spring's gonna go right inside of here. You'd have a shackle bolt that goes right through there, and that would hold it in place. Again, if it's a 1 and 7/8th inch wide slipper spring, that would go in between the hangar. Now again, it does work with a 9/16th inch diameter bolt that is sold separately.
This has been made with a four gauge thick steel and some quick overall dimensions in case you need 'em. I was getting, again, right at 3 and 7/8th inches tall. So if this was standing up and then on a width, I got about 3 inches. And then if you went side to side, you got about a little over about 2 and 3/8ths. Now keep in mind this can expand in and out and that kind of thing, so keep that in mind as well.

I have a messed up system for lead springs and have been looking for a cheap, bolt on system to replace the current welded setup I have. I need to move the axle back 6 inches to redistribute the weight for a tiny house project and these seem like they will do the job.
I have a slipper spring system, but the slipper portion is more like a hook, so I can use these for that. As for the front, I need to order 2 more because I wasn't sure if the depth of the hanger would work for the width of the eye, but it will.
These hangers will make it so much easier than having to weld on new brackets.
