Maintaining a functioning lighting system for your boat trailer is required by law. Make your life simpler by installing lights that you can trust be to be submerged regularly. The housing and lens of this light are sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light to damage the diode or circuit board. Also, a special urethane potting is used to encapsulate the circuit board, further ensuring protection from moisture and dust.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light on either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. Rather than buying side marker and clearance lights separately, you can mount this single, PC-rated light at a 45-degree angle on the rear corner of your trailer to act as both.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq recessed mount, red LED side marker trailer light. Now, this is a nice, small, round LED light that'll serve as a side marker and clearance light for your trailer. It is a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. It is IP 68 graded.
Does use a military-grade construction of the circuit board. Has urethan potting, which will offer better protection than common epoxy potting. And the LED is a premium LED, which is energy efficient, long-lasting, and vibration resistant. It is rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation. It has a durable UV resistant lens over it, and it is a clear lens over one red LED.
Now, this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. I am gonna, in a minute here, we're gonna hook this up to some power just to show you how bright the light is. It is a recess mount installation. Comes with the included rubber grommet. Does require a 3/4 inch diameter cut-out for it to fit into.
And we also even sell a stainless steel trim ring for a finished look if you want, and it's listed on this product page as a related product. It is a two-wire harness. Hardwires to your application. It includes a white ground wire and a black power wire. The wire length is about 18 inches.
Now, this does meet or exceed the FMVS or the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, 108 standards. It is a PC-rated light, produces 180 degree beam when it's properly installed. Specs on it, the diameter of the light, it's gonna be right at one inch, and the depth on it is right at 7/8 of an inch. Input voltage is nine volts to 14 volts. And the power draw is .06 to .08 amps. So, we're gonna do now is hook it up to some power. And once we got it hooked up, I can turn on the power, and you'll be able to see the single LED, red LED. Gonna turn off the overhead light here just so you can see. For one LED, gives off a nice bright light. And I'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, and turn off our power.
