Ellen: Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to take a quick look at the parking sensor relocation kit for your Westin grille guard. This allows you to relocate that parking sensor so that it's not blocked anymore by your grille guard. And also by putting it on the grille guard itself, it helps to account for maybe some added distance that you have to the front of your vehicle. Putting something new on there, it might change how much distance you have to give yourself in between you and the next car that you're trying to park next to or park up against. So having that sensor moved out a little bit can help make sure that you don't have any damage caused to you or anybody else's vehicle. So let's take a closer look at what actually comes in the kit, and talk a little bit more about how this is going to work. It's a pretty simple system. You do have to make a little bit of modification to your grille guard, you have to mount these brackets to it.
So you will have to drill some holes to get those in place. It's going to be four holes per bracket, so eight holes in total. You're not changing anything on your vehicle as far as drilling any holes, it's just going to be on the grille guard. So just keep that in mind there.Whenever you're putting it in place, you want to also make sure that this little slot is facing down and that the round hole is facing out. That's going to be where your sensor goes.
And so we'll also have our wiring extension, this is going to stretch out our wiring between the sensor and the wiring housing that comes with our vehicle. This fits the 2009 through 2018 Dodge Ram 1500. The Westin grille guards that that fits are listed on the product page. So you can make sure that you have the same one there. As far as what's going to plug up the hole on your vehicle for where that sensor was, you can either use one of these rubber grommets, and that's just going to give a nice pass through for the wiring's. The wiring will come directly out of those, or you can plug it up with one of the metal caps, and then you can paint this to match the rest of your vehicle, or match the bumper where it's mounted and then you'd have to wrap that wiring in a little different spot, but a little bit more discreet.
So it's just up to your discretion on what you want to use.It comes with the hardware to get everything installed, as well as an Allen key to tighten up those bolts. Again, you're going to have to make some holes in the grille guard. If you have the painted grille guard, it's a good idea to touch up the paint so you don't have any rust or corrosion. If you have the chrome, it doesn't require any kind of paint, but it is suggested that you use a cobalt bit so that you don't cause any corrosion there. That's pretty much everything there is to it for our look at the parking sensor relocation kit. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right product for you.

Relocates the parking sensors on your truck when installing a Westin grille guard (40-3555 or 57-93555).I only used half of the parts in the box because you do not make a relocation kit for the Nissan Titan, So the relocation wire bundle didn’t work , the grommets didn’t work, ( I had to cut to fit) and the sensor brackets hole was too large for my sensors so I had to use adhesive to mount the frame holder for the sensors. There are a lot of Titans out there and with a few modification to the existing kit, there is a whole new market that is going untouched by your product. The mount screws worked well, but I would offer the round plugs for the old sensor mount holes in black as well as crome.
I bought these because I put on a grille guard. My parking sensors needed to be extended out to work properly. Ordering and shipping went great.
Great service and delivery times!!
Thank you!
