A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side maker light.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole or use a mounting bracket (sold separately) to complete the installation.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our LED trailer clearance and side marker light with grommet. It's a one-diode red lens, and it's gonna be a small, round trailer light functioning as both a clearance or side marker when properly installed. I've got the lights on. You can see just how bright this is. And this has been sonically sealed, so you can use this in water if you so needed to, like on a boat trailer or something of that nature.
And I wanna go ahead and shut off my overhead lights real quick so you can kinda take a look at just how bright and vibrant this LED is. So again, red lens, red LED. It's a durable plastic base with an acrylic lens. It does not require top-mounted position to meet DOT requirements for PC rating. And as you can see, the LEDs are super bright.
Apologize there for the camera there adjusting. So let's go ahead and zoom back out and take a different look. So again, overall, 3/4 inches, and it's about 7/8 inches tall as far as a height. And again, it includes that grommet there as well. And if I unplug it here, I can show you the wires in the back.
It has a nice length of pigtail wires here. And just the two wires, simple installation. Well, folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
