P2-Rated Lights
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.
Surface-Mount Light
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this RED LED round clearance or side marker trailer light with reflex reflector. Now this three and 1/16 inch round trailer light is going to serve as either a clearance or a side marker light. This is going to be great for chassis applications. The built-in reflex reflector is gonna remove the need for a separate reflector.
And let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off here just so you get a better idea of what this is going to look like. This one RED LED under this red lens is going to last up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights and going out for my wide view here, you can get a better look at what this is going to look like from a distance. I'm just gonna shine this on the wall behind me here. So this is going to obviously last longer than your incandescent light bulbs. It's going to be more energy efficient, long-lasting, vibration resistant.

This does feature a durable polycarbonate base with an incandescent style acrylic lens.
This is going to mount on the surface of your trailer with the built-in flange. The hardware's not included, but it does include this foam gasket that's going to help create a watertight seal. Of course, this is 12 volt DC compatible. As you can see here, this does accept the industry standard two wire plug. So let's go over some measurements.
Looking at that diameter, so we're sitting right at, as I mentioned, three and 1/16 inches on that diameter. The thickness, we're about, right at about almost an inch. Well, I'm not getting this front end here, so maybe a little bit closer to about one and 1/8 inches thick. And then we do have a diagram of additional measurements that might prove helpful for you that I haven't covered with you here today on this product page. So if you look on this product page on our website, you will find diagrams and additional measurements, and this does have a limited lifetime warranty. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that our time together was illuminating for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
