Today we're going to take a look at the Peterson 18 inch long Great white LED trailer Interior Cove Light. Now this interior cove lighting strip provides a nice bright light to illuminate an interior space. It is perfect for enclosed trailers. It does use molded ceiling to help resist dust, moisture and vapor. It does use 12 white LEDs on it and it is compatible with 12 volt and 24 volt systems. It is a surface mount design.
You can mount it to a trailer wall or ceiling and it can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. And the design of it also, it can fit into corners nicely. Now the mounting hardware to install this is not included. You can see on the end it is a two wire design, includes the white ground wire and the black power wire and the lead length on these wires is about five inches.This part is made in the USA. Light output on this is 1000 lumens.
IP rating is IP 67 and last thing I'm gonna do is give you some dimensions and then we're going to hook it up to some power just to show you how bright it is. So the overall length from the end of the mounting bracket to the other mounting bracket end is 19 11/16th of an inch. They call this an 18 inch light because if you measure right here, the inside of the actual light, it's right at about 18 inches. Now the width on it we're going to do to widths. The widest part is the edge where the mounting brackets are.
That width is going to be 1 3/4 inches. And then width of just the light itself is right at one inch. So what we're going to do now is hook this up to some power.Then we'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. So the white wire will be our ground. Black wire will be our power.
And with it all hooked up, we'll go ahead and turn it on and you can see the 12 LEDs all lit up. Go ahead and turn off our overhead lights and you can see for the 12 LEDs gives a very bright light in this whole area, and again, it can be mounted either way, horizontally or vertically. Then turn back on our overhead lights and go ahead and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on the Peterson 18 inch long, Great White LED Trailer Interior Cove Light.
The purpose of this 5-star rating regards etrailer's level of service. In searching for LED interior lights that are made in USA, I came upon Peterson manufacturing. Their 359 series lights had excellent reviews, but for my application, I wanted a flush mount light which led me to their new 358 series. However, this product was just introduced just a few months ago and I could find no distributors or retailers that had any. So, I reached out to the service folks at etrailer and within a few weeks they were able to create a listing on their website, acquire the new lights, and notified me that they had them in stock. During this period of time, I was also in contact with other sellers, but only etrailer followed through on their commitment to help me acquire these new lights.
Have actually used used these in different setups. 2 enclosed trailers, a 10' long and 22 ' long. Also used 2 for pickup truck bed lighting mounted under the rails of a tonneau cover.

Used to replace corroded incandescent back-up lights on trailer, these work great, easy to wire in, great illumination.
Getting ready to put this 2nd set into my trailer. Tied them right into the cheap ceiling lights and really brightened it up inside.
