Installing this light is simple thanks to its surface-mount design and Metripack connector. It measures 6-5/8" long by 2-3/16" tall by 3/4" thick and only needs a 1-1/2" diameter hole for wiring. The mounting holes are spaced 4-5/8" center-to-center, so getting it lined up is easy. Once connected, it sits flush and secure—no extra drilling or rewiring needed.
The P2 rating means this light projects a clear 45-degree beam to each side for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. That makes it ideal as either a side marker or clearance light when properly mounted. The amber lens over white LEDs provides bright output that other drivers can see clearly, improving safety every time you’re on the road.

This oval trailer light serves as either a side-marker light or clearance light.It features a nice chrome bezel that adds a finished look to the unit. It is sonically sealed, so it features a waterproof housing and lens unit that is submersible. It's a full LED system. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, burn brighter, and they're much more efficient.
You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments.The unit's going to feature a nice amber lens with a polycarbonate lens and housing design. It's very strong and durable. It's designed to mount on the surface of the trailer. You can see you have your mount holes here, so you will need to remove the chrome bezel to gain access to the mount holes. Mounting hardware not included.
It features a metripack connector.The unit is Department of Transportation compliant, and it's PT rated.Taking a look at the overall dimensions, if we take a measurement edge to edge, it's going to give us a measurement of around 6-5/8" long. Going this direction edge to edge, it measures about 2-3/16" to 2-1/4" this direction. When it comes to the depth, it's only about 5/8" deep. The mount holes on the unit are separated on-center by 4-5/8".It contains a total of 4 LEDs or diodes. The power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.12 amps.
Optronics puts a lifetime warranty of their LEDs.We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. Then we'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low-light setting. You can see there the four LEDs. It sends out a nice strong consistent signal.
We're going to go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and do that again. The multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output of the unit. The lens design allows plenty of light to come through for a really nice light that's again to serve as either a side-marker light or a clearance light for your trailer.That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics M1 LED Clearance or Side Marker Light.
