You're trying to link your brake actuator to your brake line tab, but a straight hose hits the frame. This 24" line makes the first turn with a 90-degree fitting that keeps the hose aligned and seated without binding.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this DeeMaxx Rubber Hydraulic Brake Line. Now, this 24-inch-long brake line is most often used to connect your actuator to the rest of your hydraulic system. The flexible rubber construction is perfect for fold-away trailer tongues, disc brakes, and torsion axles. This is designed for any 3/16 of an inch brake line. The thread size is 3/8 of an inch by 24.
The brass male inverted flare fitting on one end and the 90-degree bend on the other end, it's gonna put less strain on the rubber lines, and these brass fittings are gonna be a better seal than steel fittings because brass is more pliable, helping to prevent leaks, splits, and corrosion. The 1/8 of an inch inner diameter is going to allow for smooth brake fluid flow. This is going to meet the Department of Transportation and SAE standards for safety. I think you may have received either a damaged one (which you did mention) or a defective one, Andrew. I just grabbed two of these at random from our warehouse and test fit them in three different parts and they fit fine. If you would like, I can get a reshipment moving for you so we can get you one that I know fits. And out of curiosity, what are you putting this in? The brake, the actuator, or an adapter/t-fitting?
