Protect your trailer bearings from water, dirt, and corrosion while making greasing quick and easy. Stainless steel Bearing Buddies maintain light grease pressure inside the hub to help prevent bearing failure, even when your hubs are submerged.

Replace your existing grease cap with a Bearing Buddy to ensure a safe, easy way to monitor and control the level of grease in your axle hub. To adjust the amount of grease in the hub, use a grease gun to add more through the zerk fitting. Adding grease moves the Bearing Buddy spring-loaded piston outward 1/8".
The O-ring inside the barrel of the Bearing Buddy maintains a seal from the outside. The interior of the Bearing Buddy is pressurized which prevents water from entering the barrel and diluting the grease.
An automatic pressure-relief feature is built into the Bearing Buddy. When the device is full, grease will seep around the edges of the piston and into the barrel. This prevents overfilling that can damage the inner seal.
You can manually check the grease level in your Bearing Buddy by pressing on the edge of the piston. If you can rock or move the piston, the hub is properly filled.

Kevin: Today we're gonna take a look at these stainless steel bearing buddy bearing protectors for the 1.810 hub bore and this part is for two of them. This bearing buddy design is an easy way to protect your bearings by keeping water out and insuring enough great is in the hub. This is great for marine applications. I'm just gonna pull the cover off here to show you. The stainless steel construction will provide the best for corrosion resistance in the marine applications and the way this installs is this replaces the grease cap on the end of your axle hub so you just pop your grease cap off and then tap this in right in that place. This does prevent wheel bearing failure. It will keep the water and dirt out of your hubs and your bearings and allows your boat trailer wheels to be completely submerged in the water and it eliminates repacking of your bearings.
If you notice right here on the end it has a grease zerk fitting. This easily accessible grease zerk fitting will make adding grease to your bearings very quick and simple. Just attach your grease gun to there and pump grease in there. Now, when you do fill it with grease it does maintain a slight controlled pressure of about 3 PSI with the spring loaded piston in here. The reason it does that is that helps prevent water from entering the hub and then when you're filling it up it will prevent over filling and rear seal damage of your hub because it has an automatic pressure relief feature so in other words when you're pumping it up if it gets overfilled the grease will start seeping around the piston edges and into the barrel when it's full. Again, this is a stainless steel construction.
It has stainless steel internal parts that will give you longer lasting fit than some of the plastic or aluminum products out there and again, it does include these rubber covers that you just put over there to protect it. It installs very easily on your hub. They are made in the USA. A few specs on them again is it is designed to fit the 1.810 hub bore and that dimension is the diameter right there so if we put a ruler on it it's the part that taps into your hub and you can see it's the 1.810 hub bore and that's designed to work with the LM-12749 outer bearings. That should do it for the review of the stainless steel bearing buddy bearing protectors for the 1.810 hub bore and this is for a quantity of two. .
