Replace the standard rubber spool roller on your boat trailer with this thermoplastic rubber version from Yates. TPR material is stronger than rubber and softer than polyurethane, and it won't leave marks on your boat.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Yates Spool roller for boat trailers. Now this is going to replace one spool roller on your boat trailer and this is going to fit a four inch wide bracket with a half inch diameter shaft. And lemme go ahead before we go any further and give you some measurements. So looking at the overall length, we're sitting right at three and three quarters inches long and the diameter pretty close to three inches.
And then looking at that center hole there, pretty close to five eighths of an inch it looks like. So as you know, this is going to ease the loading and unloading of your boat. It's gonna support the keel of your boat as it sits on the trailer. It's gonna help to absorb road shock while the boat is being towed. And this is constructed of thermal plasticized rubber, also known as TPR.
So this is going to be non-marking, non-scratching material. It's stronger and more durable than traditional rubber and it's gonna be softer and more pliant than polyurethane. So it should be a pretty easy install. It's kind of this pale yellowish color and I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

This Spool Roller is an off-yellow color. We store our products inside our warehouse, out of the sun.

Well, one of the rollers is failing, but the other four look like new. No idea why, they all share the same load, about 800 pounds from my 15 runabout.
