Internal Surface of Yates Spool Roller for Boat Trailers YR410Y-4

Question:

Im looking at the 4inch wide spool roller. Needed for a special application where width of roller will be reduced about one inch cut from center, resulting in two pieces with overall width 3. Does the rollers bearing surface run completely through the roller? Or is the roller supported by axle only at the outer ends of roller? Im building a new upright where the winch will be mounted and need a roller to turn the winch strap about 90 degrees. The new upright is NOT shown in the photo, because it has not yet been fabricated.

I went out to the warehouse to take a look at the Yates Spool Roller # YR410Y-4 referenced in your question. The inner portion/axle does indeed run completely through the roller, from one end to the other.

The roller measures 4 inches long and 3 inches in diameter. I have also attached a short video review on this product so you can get a better look at is physical features.
