Specs:

Application: trailer frames up to 3" wide x 4-1/2" tall
- 2 Extra-long U-bolt kits (CE11416 - sold separately) are required to mount on frames up to 3" wide x 5-1/4" tall
- 2 Sets of I-beam clamps (CE27682A - sold separately) can be used to mount on I-beam frames that are larger than 3" wide x 4-1/4" tall

Pre-Galvanized Steel

Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of the pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating (less than 1 mil) and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so it's recommended that they be primed and painted.

I have a tunnel hill jet boat that is used on some very fast rivers. I have loaded and unloaded the boat with no issues since adding the system on my trailer. I did add a third support leg to the CE Smith Bunk-Style Guide-On kit because of the swift current on our Alaskan rivers

Tubes are good quality. Heavy hot-dip galvanized. The bolts were not Hot dipped. purchased Hot dipped bolts from local shop. Carpet seemed thin. Replaced with bunker carpet from local store. I didn't need to use all hardware. My trailer is a little wide for my Carolina Skiff. I had to replace guide brackets with 8" long ones to achieve a 1.5" gap between hull and guide on each side. all in all, I'm satisfied with the product. Unfortunately as usual, rarely am able to get everything needed for projects at one location.

It's purpose was just what I needed. Makes retrieving our boat very easy now.

Issue:#1 Parts are rusting. We are in saltwater 99% of the time. I religiously wash the boat and trailer after each use.

Issue:#2 The u-bolts attaching the unit to the trailer are too short. I had to install them without washers.

Received and installed my bunks today. Installation of the brackets to the trailer frame was a cinch. A few measurements to get
Both side the same and off
I was to install the boards. Problem!!! Went to bolt on the brackets and there are no holes to bolt to. Bummer. Now I have to make a run to my buddies shop who has a drill press. Not hard to do, but would have been nice to know before hand. Even the picture in the instructions has the holes drilled.
All in all, got it put together.
Looking forward to trying it out. Might be a few days as the expected high is under 30 for the next week or so.

A year later!! How time flies. I have no complaints about these guides. I recently helped a friend re- install a set of bunks form another manufacturer, was surely unimpressed. The bunks sold be e-trailer are much better quality. Thanks again for all the great products. Just made another purchase this morning. My go-to for parts these days.

“A company that cares”

Purchased a 5 foot set of loading bunks or my boat trailer (rather costly). Boat and trailer at our cabin some 250 miles from home. Hauled the unopened package up there 3 weeks later. OK ! We’re ready to start assembling the bunks, with minimal tools. Problem, no holes in the brackets. We went back and forth on the phone. Then 22 miles to town for a 3/8 drill bit. Bottom line , “”I love this Company “”. Not only did they help , stick with me , and guide me through it, they also compensated, more than expected. This is a USA ten star company.
WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Overall it has worked great. My Lowe Roughneck has ribs on the bottom. So the ribs have bracket the bunks to ride right on the trailer. This isn’t always easy on a fast flowing river ramp. The guys help center the boat.

I'll give it five stars only because they can't know how it will fit every trailer, but with that being said here's my pros and cons.
Pros
1. Pretty good build quality
2. Instructions are pretty straight forward
3. EVERYTHING is galvanized
4. The supplied carpet is more than enough to do both bunks.
Cons
1. The u-bolts aren't nearly long enough.
2. This will not fit a tandem axle trailer with the suggested 5' bunk board.
3. Only used the L brackets and bunk board brackets. Threw everything else away.
4. This kit will require a little bit of fabrication but it will work.

Overall if I needed another I would probably buy this again.

Good quality product. Good instructions. No missing parts. Easy to install. I have a 25 year old trailer that hauls a 1938 Chris Craft inboard runabout. Loading was a problem until I installed the rails to guide the boat onto the bunks.

Hey Kenneth, The bunk-style guide on kit # CE27600 have 5 foot long bunk boards in them. The can be adjusted to fit different size trailer frames, but the actual length of the bunk board is not custom. The longest bunk board that we carry is 7 feet long # CE27845, we do not have any that are longer than that. Where to Drill Holes for CE Smith Bunk-Style Guide-On Kit
Hi John; there is no specific position you need to drill the holes for the swivel brackets on the # CE27600K90. Choose a position that works best for your setup which is likely toward the top. The swivel brackets use a 1/2" bolt, I would hold up your drill bits to the bolt to match it up like you would with anything else.

Yes, the CE Smith Bunk-Style Guide-On Kit # CE27600K90 can be used as in interior tunnel guide on for your catamaran boat trailer. The L beams are 19-3/4" long and have no pre drilled holes. The kit will include mounting hardware to attach the uprights to a 3" wide by 4-1/2" tall frame. This can actually vary from trailer to trailer. The CE Smith Roller Style Guide-Ons for Pontoon Boat Trailers # CE27672 is a great option but the height may be an issue depending on your trailer. These are 24" tall so you will want to measure to determine if they will be short enough to not hit the bottom of your Sea-Doo Switch Sport 18. We have the 90 degree roller style of guide ons which would be your best option with the part # CE27600K90. This uses a roller that mounts vertically and will roll as it allows your boat to guide along past it. There isn't a 90 degree version of the # CE27660 that you referenced.
