Features to know about

Installs in Minutes with No Splicing: Plug-In T-Connector

Wiring a trailer doesn’t have to mean cutting into factory wires. This Curt T-Connector harness simply plugs into the existing factory tow wiring using the built-in connector. Once it’s in place, just insert the included fuse into the inline holder and you’re ready to go. There’s no splicing or wire extending needed, which means fewer chances for mistakes and a much cleaner setup.

Delivers Reliable Lighting Power: Rated for 6 Amps Running / 3 Amps Turn-Brake per Side

This harness is built to handle a solid power load, rated for 6 amps on running lights and 3 amps for brake and turn signals per side. That gives it the capacity to run trailer lights consistently without dimming or flicker. The powered converter keeps current steady so your trailer lighting signals stay bright and clear.

Keeps Wiring Protected and Hidden: Factory-Style Connection with 4-Flat Output

The 4-flat trailer connector provides standard running, brake, and turn light functions while keeping wiring neat and out of sight. The plug-in design uses the existing vehicle connections, so there’s no need to drill holes or route cables across panels. The result is a tidy install that looks like it came from the factory.

Built for Long-Term Dependability: Modern Circuit Board Design

Behind the simple plug-in setup is a Curt circuit board that’s known for reliability. Its powered converter helps prevent overloads between vehicle and trailer circuits, keeping both systems safe. Once installed, it’s a dependable link that handles everyday towing with confidence.

Does exactly what I wanted. Installation was a breeze. I replaced a failed box from another brand (much more expensive one too). Hopefully this one holds up longer.

by:

The wiring harness couldn't be easier to install it's plug-and-play

by:

Fits directly to the connector in the trunk. Easy plug and play. I then popped the tab in thefloor of the trunk and ran the wires thru to under neath. All clean and hidden.
Order was on time as listed.

I have not tested yet on how well it holds up or how well it works. Time will tell.
Ill give it a 4 as of now

  • No Power on Curt Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2007 to 2012 Mazda CX-7
Trailer wiring harnesses # C55593 for the Mazda CX-7 will only fit if the vehicle came with the factory tow package. It sounds like your model did not. What you will need to add trailer wiring is a different type of harness, # 118405. It is possible that even if you ran a power wire to the battery manually and bypassed that connector it might still not work. going with harness # 118405 would be the sure thing.

  • Comparing Trailer Wiring Harnesses for a 2008 Mazda CX-7
Yes, the Curt trailer wiring harness # C55593 is a confirmed fit a 2008 Mazda CX-7 that came with a factory installed towing package. If you are not sure if your CX-7 has a factory tow package, then have a dealer run the vehicle VIN and they should be able to tell you how it is equipped. The Curt harness is actually rated for a little more power draw at 6 amps for running lights and 3 amps for brake/turn signals per side. The Tow Ready harness is rated for 5 amps and 2.1 amps, respectively. If...

  • Installing Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55593 on 2009 Mazda CX-7
I want to start by thanking you for your recent purchase. We truly appreciate your business. As for the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # C55593, this is the correct wiring harness for your 2009 Mazda CX-7. To install you would simply locate the factory tow harness plug and plug in the T-Connector harness. Next, insert the fuse provided into the inline fuse holder to complete the install. No splicing or extending wires is needed, this harness strictly plugs in. If you still have...

  • Correct Wiring Harness for 2010 Mazda CX-7 Without Tow Package
According to one of our friends at Curt although your CX-7 has the port on the passenger side, using part # C55593 would not provide all the lighting necessary for your trailer. Not all of the wiring connections were made. For your CX-7, part # 118405 would be the correct wiring harness to use. The T-1 would connect inline with the existing wiring behind each tail light assembly. A wire also needs to be ran under the vehicle to the engine compartment ultimately connecting to the positive...

  • Trailer Harness Wiring Harness Recommendations for a 2011 Mazda CX-7
The determining factor for which trailer wiring harness you need is whether or not your vehicle has the towing package. If you do not know if your vehicle has a tow package or not you would need to contact the dealer with the VIN and they could tell you. Another way to tell is to locate the connector that mates with the # C55593 harness and use a circuit tester to test each wire function. If all functions work, left and right stop and turn signals and tail light signals, then the vehicle...

  • Which Trailer Hitches, Ball Mount, Trailer Wiring, and Hitch Balls Fit a 2007 Mazda CX-7
Yes. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75512, will fit on your 2007 Mazda CX-7. For many vehicles, the manufacturer will not change the chassis and/or frame platform so the same hitch can fit multiple years of the same model vehicle. I have included two links below. One is the instructions for the 75512 hitch. The other link is for all the hitches that will fit your 2007 CX-7. I also recommend adding trailer wiring to provide a 4-Way trailer connection at the rear of the vehicle. If you do...

  • Trailer Drivers Side Tail Light Not Working, All Other Lights Work
This sounds like a ground issue. Ground problems normally show up when there is more draw on a system such as when you have the running lights on and then use another function like a turn signal or brake light. Make sure that the vehicle side and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside and out. The main connector grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. The light grounds should also be attached to clean and corrosion free bare...

  • Fit of Curt C55593 for a 2009 Mazda CX-7
If you already have the plug-in that is behind the passenger side trim panel then then the Curt # C55593 is the harness for your 2009 Mazda CX-7. When it comes to choosing the correct Bearing Buddy you need to first measure the diameter of your hub bore. To ensure the best fit you need to use a digital caliper that reads to the 3rd decimal place (1.232 for example). One of the most common sizes is 1.980 for a hub bore. If you happen to have this size then you would want to go with part...

You will need to lower the exhaust in the rear by removing the exhaust from the rubber hangers, but it will be connected back to the hangers after the hitch is installed.
