A heavy front load can make steering feel light and braking less confident. These SumoSprings Solo helper springs add up to 1,400 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and controlled. The microcellular urethane material cushions bumps and helps your factory suspension handle extra weight without bottoming out, so your steering stays steady and your headlights stay aimed right where they should.
Whether you’re carrying a light load or something heavy up front, these springs adjust on their own. They compress easily for soft engagement when lightly loaded and can compress by as much as 80 percent to handle heavier weight. That progressive design smooths out bumps and road vibration while keeping the vehicle balanced across changing conditions.

When a curve or crosswind tries to push you around, each spring works independently to keep both sides planted. This helps reduce body roll and sway for a more stable, confident feel through corners or uneven approaches. The result is a ride that feels more controlled when the road gets unpredictable.
The closed-cell microcellular urethane is made to handle real use without wearing out fast. It resists oils, road salts, and UV rays, and performs in temperatures from -25 F to 200 F. The springs compress vertically with minimal side expansion so nearby parts stay protected even in tight spaces.
You can bolt these helper springs on without drilling or running lines or air hoses. With no air pressure to monitor and no maintenance needed, it’s a clean upgrade that’s ready to go once installed—just solid suspension support that works every time you hit the road.

I have a Workhorse W22 chassis. I installed steering dampeners and HD sway bar to reduce the "loose" steering. After installing the SumoSprings Front Spring helpers on the front end, 90% of the looseness on the front end disappeared. It is now a pleasure to drive. Very little sway from passing trucks and cross winds. I will be installing a set on the rear this year.
Super easy to install maybe 30 minutes for all 4
Fronts were done from above with wheel turned full right or left and load off that side with jack, rears jack to take off load only used large flat head screw drive to remove replace
improved side to side roll/sway ride is firmer went with the black capacity maybe yellow on rear if loads increase
Product is great, exceeded my expectations. Install is simple and straightforward. It’s a night and day difference in both the body roll and the handling small bumps all the way up to off-road conditions.
What most new RV owners don't know is that the chassis that their new mobile home sits on barely has the equipment to support that new home. Adding SumpSprings is going to improve your ride and help support the structure of your home. FYI, use a jack on the leaf springs to help align the holes on the bracket to the ones on the frame.
it works
super speedy with no delays....Awesome
Excellent service.
Just installed my springs. The springs were the correct item and look very well made. Raised my van 3/4". Tomorrow is the test drive. I have a feeling I will be very pleased.
These gave me the increased spring rate I was looking for in the front end of my 4x4 Sprinter.
The added spring rate did overwhelm the damping provided by the stock struts though, making for a bouncy ride, so I then added Bilstein B6 struts, which solved the problem. With this combination, the van handles significantly better with the light loads I typically carry.
fast shipping, good price
They do what they were intended to do - reduce the effect of slightly overloaded factory springs.
Installation was a pain. The instructions were impossible to accomplish. I used YouTube and found a much easier way to install. But still had to have my son install the rear sumos.
Superfast shipping from eTrailer. Installation is a heck of a lot easier if you have a cordless ratcheting wrench and a decent jack. It definitely helps with the sway on the Sprinter.
Always a pleasure to do business with etrailer.
Great communication fast service.
Highly recommended

Good upgrade. Noticeably reduces rocking
Installed on a fully loaded Sprinter Camper Van. Major improvement to the handling of the Van. Helper springs were also installed on the rear. Overall, van rides much better and seems to respond better at highway speeds and windy conditions.
I was a little skeptical about sumo springs based on the price compared to replacing the struts on my Sprinter 2500. I was very surprised at how well the sumo springs have slowed down the compression of the front suspension and reduced the side to side rocking motion. Mercedes should have implemented this from the get go.
I bought these for my 2020 4x4 Sprinter van, 3500, 144" WB, dually. I purchased both the front & rear springs. Installation wasn't too difficult and only took a few hours for each set working alone.
I had these on a Dodge 3/4 truck before and they helped with the sway when our camper was loaded and they worked pretty good.
Having put about 25,000 miles on them now I can honestly say that there is a noticeable difference under a variety of conditions. The van is inherently top-heavy so it's quite a chore to settle that down but these springs definitely made a difference and have made driving more comfortable, even in high side winds.
Installation was easy. I didn't even have to jack the front end of my 2018 4WD sprinter up. I wish the stud in the sumo spring was at least 1/4" longer. The stud that was in the sumo spring was just long enough to be flush with the end of the Nyloc nut. It should have protruded out at least 1/8". The ride was improved but I haven't really taken a long trip yet. Delivery was very quick.

The front Sumo springs still seem to be a correct choice for me. The ride is improved particularly with regard to sway during high winds and during turns.
