These 1,000-lb capacity truck bed rail tie down anchors stay out of sight and out of the way when you don't need them and snap up when you want to haul. They give tie downs a better angle of pull than factory anchors and are easier to reach.

If you have pop-out rail caps you can install the anchors in seconds. All you have to do is pop the caps off using a flat head screwdriver, insert the anchors into the stake pockets, and tighten them down with a Phillips head screwdriver.
If you have truck bed rails with hidden stake pockets that don't have pop-out rail caps, a router and a drill with a 1/2" bit (not included) are required to install the anchors.
The router bit (sold separately) lets you perfectly trim the caps without damaging your truck bed. To install the anchors, drill a 1/2" hole in the center of each rail cap and use the router to make the cuts. The router bit has 4 roller bearings that guide the router around the inner steel pocket to prevent overcutting the surface of your bedrails. Cut around each perimeter several times so that all the plastic residue resulting from the cuts gets trimmed away. Once the caps have been trimmed you can install the anchors.
If you have rear stake pockets with an inner plastic shaft, use a router with the rotary pocket saw bit (sold separately) to remove it.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at these BullRing flush fit, retractable tie-down anchors for your truck bed stake pockets. Now, these heavy-duty anchors are going to attach to your truck bed stake pockets and provide tie-down points to secure your load. They're gonna work with your S-hook and J-hook connections. And these are custom fit tie-down anchors, so they are going to fit various years and versions of the Dodge Ram and Ram pickup trucks.
To confirm that these are going to work for your truck, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com and input the year, make and model of your truck, and our fit guide will let you know if these will work for your truck or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, while the factory anchor points are inside the bed where it can be hard to reach, these retractable anchor points install into the stake pockets on top of your bed rails. Just simply pop the anchor ring up as you saw me do when you want to use it to secure the load and then you just hit it down flush when you don't. So, as you can see, it's very easy to pull this ring out and then you just give it a firm pull. And then that's going to secure it in place.
And that's gonna be ready for you to hook up your straps. And then when you're ready to, when you're done and you don't need these anymore, you just hit them down and then they will retract as simple as that. So, when you have these up, they're going to hold very firmly, very securely. And these are gonna be very convenient for you to use. Now, the flush fit is compatible with most tonneau covers.
And these anchors have a weight capacity of 1,000 pounds. They're constructed of stainless steel that will resist rust and corrosion. And this nylon lower body is going to reduce sound. And this polished stainless steel plate really does provide a really nice, classy look. Now, to install these, if you have a 2009 or newer Dodge Ram, you will have to trim your rail cap for proper installation.
For easier installation, I recommend picking up the BullRing rail cap router bit and the BullRing rear pocket saw bit. I'm including our item numbers to those tools on your screen. And you can just take those item numbers and pop them into the search field of our website here at etrailer.com, and it will take you to those items. And that's going to make trimming the plastic easier and just installing these, in general, easier for you. So, I would recommend taking a look at those tools to help you with that installation. So, after doing any necessary trimming, you're simply going to use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two screws on the anchor, so that the steel plate is going to drop down. And on this anchor, I went ahead and loosened these screws. So, I'm gonna go ahead and take these screws out. And I just wanted to show you what this is going to look like when the screws are out. This steel plate is going to drop down. You're not gonna have to worry about losing that steel plate. It will stay attached to the ring. And then you're just going to place the anchor into the stake pocket at an angle. And then once you have it in there, you're going to just pull the anchor ring up so that steel plate catches on the metal rail cap below. And then you will just simply tighten down the Phillips screws until they are hand-tight. And you wanna make sure that you don't overtighten these. And if the plastic rail cap starts bending or bowing, then you are gonna know at that point, it is too tight. Now, these do have a lifetime warranty. And with this, you will receive six tie-down anchors. But if six is too many for you and you don't need that many, we do also have these in a set of four. And I am including our item number on your screen for that set of four if you would prefer that over this set of six. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
Perfect fit and just what I needed. You can never have too may tie-down points.
GREAT PRODUCT! ETRAILER PROVIDES GREAT SERVICE AND THE SHIPPING IS LIGHTNING FAST!
Fit good, easy install, and feel rugged. Installed on 2022 F150 (aluminum body) but no galvanic barrier was supplied to prevent contact between lower steel bracket and aluminum bed rail. Simple fix with strips of electrical tape.
Once again, professional, fast , reliable-thank you!
These Bullring tie downs work very well with securing a load in my truck bed. Made of good quality materials and easy to install. This is my second set I've installed on my F-150's. I would recommend these for any truck.
These are adequate for what I need, they pull straight up and were easy to install. I saw some others that pull up at an angle.
I use these all the time. Super easy to install. The only reccomendation is that they would pop up and stay up if wanted. as they are now you need to pull the loop up and hook our rope or strap or they will retract by Gravity.
Went in easy.Flush mount.
I don’t use the tie downs often, but when needed they come in VERY handy. I like the trim appearance. Much nicer than big rings sticking up from the sides of the bed.
Although these d-rings are easy to install, and fit in the stake pockets, I believe they are meant for truck beds with bed rails, because when I tightened them down, they were still slightly loose, and my truck bed has no rails. It would help if this was noted on the product page.
I installed these on my 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz. At first I could not get them to drop down into the stake pocket. Removing the screws entirely solved that problem. Then I began to tighten the screws, I had grabbed a common Phillips head screwdriver but quickly realized that it was not engaging well with the screw head and was beginning to damage the head when it kept popping out. I recall watching some Youtube videos and that was happening to the installer using a driver drill and popping a lot, but he did not appear to notice and/or care. I very soon stopped and got a Phillips head # 3 (the first was the more common #2), that made a world of difference. Apparently on older Santa Cruz the area over the stake pocket had to be cut out either with a knife or a dremel. For my model/year it was much easier as they just popped out with a quick pry from a small flat head screwdriver. The one complaint I have is the stainless steel flange on the bull ring does not quite completely cover the hole made by removing the stake pocket cover. It is very close but I wish it had at least an 1/8' overlap and it does not, that lack of fit causes a slight bend in the flange.
You’ll need a router to do this efficiently on a Ram truck. You can do it with a box cutter knife but it would be a lot of work. They are awesome and I already used them!
