When the back end starts to sag from a trailer or heavy cargo, these SumoSprings Solo helper springs step in with up to 1,800 lbs of support at 50-percent compression. They keep your vehicle level so your steering, braking, and headlight aim stay right where they should be. Whether you’re hauling tools, gear, or towing something heavy, the springs help your factory suspension stay balanced and under control.
Rough roads and heavy loads don’t have to mean a harsh ride. The microcellular urethane material in these springs compresses easily for lighter loads and stiffens up as weight increases. That progressive load control smooths out bumps and cushions shocks while still giving firm support when you need it most. The result is a steady, more comfortable ride on any trip.

When curves or side winds try to push your vehicle around, each spring works independently to keep both sides planted. This reduces body roll and helps control sway so the vehicle feels more solid through corners, uneven terrain, or when you’ve got an off-center load in the back.
These helper springs are made from durable microcellular urethane that holds up from -25 F to 200 F. They resist oil, salt, and UV damage so they won’t crack or wear out easily. Since they don’t use air lines or tubing, there’s no pressure to monitor—just install them once and go. Their vertical compression minimizes side expansion so they fit safely in tight spaces without rubbing against other components.
Getting extra load support doesn’t have to be complicated. These one-piece jounce-style springs mount directly in place of factory bump stops with no drilling required. Each pair upgrades your rear axle suspension for better handling, less sway, and fewer bottom-outs every time you load up or tow.

I installed these on a 2026 Ram 1500. I had the Timbrens on my 09 GMC Sierra 1500 and they definitely made the truck feel like you were driving a 3500. These Sumo Springs still give a change to the ride quality over the OEM feel but no where close to what the Timbrens were like. They only sit a 1/2" off the axle so you feel them engage but again nothing huge. The thing that is nice with these is you can remove them and install the OEM bump stops in less then 5 mins. Same with installing them. So my plan is to keep swapping them out as needed. You will need to jack the truck up slightly to get them in and out. No tools requires beyond the jack. Would definitely recommend if you tow occasionally. For reference my trailer is a 16ft enclosed and with a 750lb tounge weight I dropped 2 3/4" stock. With the Sumo Springs I only dropped 1 1/2". The control with them in is what I enjoy the most. Nothing like that feeling of hitting that huge dip on the highway and wondering if your going to bottom out. With the Sumo Springs is solid and no bounce.
Etrailer was awesome on helping me choose the correct Sumo Springs for my truck for what I was pulling!!!
Ease of installation. Once they were assembled, 5 minutes oe bump stop removed and new sumo springs installed. I will follow up when I tow my travel trailer.
Simple install on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator. These springs seemed to help when towing our travel trailer.
Work awesome on keeping my Gladiator level while pulling my travel trailer!
Easy install. Just raise the rear of the truck enough to get the old bumps out which was very easy, place a little dish soap on the sumo spring to aid in the install, lower the rear of the truck and the springs should pop right in. If you have a lift kit place a block of wood between the sumo and bump stop plate.
Easy to install on my Jeep Gladiator. I've used the Gladiator to pull a 23ft rv trailer also with the weight distribution hitch. The unit runs level without any squat. I think it is a good add on.
Super easy to install as I did not have to use any tools. Replaced the short foam bump stop from the factory.
I love the product very easy install. Big difference
For my 1024 jeep gladiator.Very easy installation. I personally found it easier to just go ahead and remove the tire, it gives you straight access to the installation point.
I have had these on my Jeep Gladiator for over a year now and I still like them. Sumo Springs really help with sag when towing my Scamp camper trailer and when the truck bed is loaded with stuff. When it is cold outside they are stiffer and I can feel when they hit the stops on hard bumps. Sumo Springs are a very easy overload spring option with factory lift.
Jeep Gladiator Mojave - swapped out the rear stock bump stops with these. High quality parts. Just jack up the truck enough to give you room to work with and put in your jack stands, no need to remove the wheels. I look forward to seeing how they do with towing! Hopefully I can update my review here afterwards. Check out the gap difference in the pictures. Should touch sooner during normal drive conditions and hopefully help reduce some trailer squat and help towing to be smoother.
