Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Load: Up to 5,000 lbs of Rear Axle Support

When your trailer, camper, or bed load starts weighing down the rear, the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs step in to keep your ride level and steady. With up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, they take strain off your rear suspension so braking and steering stay predictable even when the load gets heavy. Adjustable air pressure from 5 to 100 psi lets you dial in just the right support to keep your truck sitting level for safer handling and correct headlight aim.

Smooth Ride and Added Control: Built-In Jounce Springs

Every bump or dip on the road doesn’t have to knock your cargo or your confidence around. Each LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air spring has a closed-cell urethane jounce spring inside that kicks in when needed to absorb shocks and reduce sway. The jounce engages progressively—the more weight you add, the stiffer it gets—so the ride feels smooth instead of harsh. Even if your air springs lose pressure, those internal jounces help carry the load temporarily to protect your suspension until you can make adjustments.

Strong Construction That Lasts: Reinforced Air Bags and Corrosion-Resistant Parts

These air springs are built to handle real work and long miles. The 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber bags are protected by Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates that guard against damage from moving parts under the vehicle. High-strength Zytel nylon endcaps are lighter, stronger, and more corrosion-resistant than steel, so you don’t have to worry about rust eating away at your suspension support over time. It’s a setup made to last through tough jobs and rough roads.

Easy DIY Setup: Straightforward Installation with Everything Included

Installing serious suspension support doesn’t have to be complicated. The kit comes with mounting brackets, hardware, manual inflation valves, and air lines. Just mount the springs, hook up the valves—typically on your bumper for easy access—and inflate. If you want hands-free control later on, an optional compressor system with in-cab gauges can be added separately. It’s a straightforward install that fits right into a weekend project for anyone who likes to handle their own upgrades.

The airbag kit had all the parts in the box and a few exta washers and nuts (yes) because I lost one somewhere in the process of installing. The instructions were easy enough to follow though the part numbers on part bags didn’t match the part numbers on part list in instruction manual but I figured it out. The quality seems to be top notched. These airbags are great fit on my 2009 Silverado 2500HD Diesel towing a 35 foot 2018 Jayco Fifth Wheel.

by:

I purchased a set of these airbags for my old truck from etrailer and ran them for 17 years pulling a 42’ fifth wheel without any problems. So there was no hesitation for me to order the same for my new truck. I looked up everything I needed up on the etrailers site and called Josh at etrailer and he verified what I needed and got it on order. Also he verified my onboard compressor would work with the new air bags. Everything was received in a few days as usual. The airbags came with very good instructions and were no trouble to install and installation went quickly and have been preforming great. etrailer is always my go too for my truck and camper parts, also the bonus is if you have any problems or questions you can call etrailer and talk to a real person and get any problems corrected. etrailer for the win.

by:

just installed loadlifter 5000 in driveway was easy enough with help of video and instructions. Only drawback was losing a clip inside the truck frame. Maybe including some extra hardware would be nice for us non mechanics. Would have given 5 star but have not hooked my trailer up to truck yet

I'm really happy with my purchase and am glad I purchased it here. Customer care was knowledgable, helpful, quick and friendly. Shipping was super fast. I couldn't be happier!

Some quick feedback that we have had the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers - Rear Axle kit installed on our 2024 Ford F250 Super Duty pick up a few weeks ago. Everything went well with the install by Valley Truck & Trailer in Castro Valley, CA. The team there did a great job at a fair and agreed upon price up front. Final cost was exactly as quoted. Not able to test out the air helper springs under load until we hitched up our fifth wheel. Over the past week we hooked up for a quick trip and WOW what a difference! We are very happy with the ease and speed to "pump up" to desired 60 psi with only a hand "bicycle" pump. The picture attached shows a before and after shot of our rig with and without the air helper springs installed. The difference is night and day. Most importantly I feel much safer and more stable and in control on the road with the truck being level vs. having front end higher than back end. I tried to add a review online at etrailer.com but the fields were locked and I was not able to add any pictures.

I don't usually go so far out of my way to review a product but in this case it is fully warranted. Thanks so much.

These airbags definitely give me a much better ride due to Toyota using coil springs in the rear. I would have given them 5 starts but one of the airbags inset thread was damaged and I was lucky enough to have the right tap. It wasn't noticed till I had my truck on the lift and the first bag installed. If i wasn't able to do that I would have had to uninstall the first bag and wait for a replacement. I understand these things happen but check your parts thoroughly before installing. I would purchase these bags again if needed.

by:

This product was fairly easy to install. The biggest problem I faced was a suspension bracket on my passenger side next to wear I installed that airbag. It was not mentioned in the video instructions. I really struggled getting my tools and hands on such a tight spot. After an hour, everything was ready to roll.

by:

Installed on a 2024 GMC Sierra Crew SLT with rear poly mono springs. This worked great and the install was easy. It took me about 2.5 hours on a 4 post lift, but you could do it in the driveway if you needed to. I reached out to airlift to make sure it would work on a vehicle with mono-springs and they were not 100 percent sure if it would. So I took a chance and it worked flawlessly!

by:

2021 Ram 2500 install was easy, it took a while to run the airlines. I pull a 5th wheel camper 700 miles each trip, the air bags eliminated the side by side roll and keeps the bed level. So far I am very satisfied with the results. When I am not pulling a trailer I lower the air bags to 10lbs for a better ride.

by:

I explained the size/weight of the load I carry in my duallie. A 5000lb slide in camper and a 28' twin engine jet boat. These bags are probably great for their respective load, but I was convinced by the sales team at etrailer that these would be sufficient. They aren't. I can put 100lbs of air (the max) in and truck still sags. Should have gone with the 7500 lb bags.

by:

works very well. i installed them on a 2012 Ford F-150 towing a Grand Design 2600 RB. the airbags substantially helped cut down the bouncing when going over big bumps, bridge decks, etc. also helps with the side winds. very happy with set up.

by:

etrailer delivered these in four days which was a pleasant surprise. The Load Lifter 5000 were easy to install and all of the parts fit perfectly. The installation instructions were spot on as well. I tried to save a little time by leaving the wheels mounted, that turned out to be a mistake, so I removed the wheels mounted on the second side and saved about 45 minutes. The loadlifters perform exactly how I want. They took all of the sway out of my tundra while hauling my truck camper.

by:

Deliver was awesome, installation was a little more complicated than expected but had installed big wig sway bar and torklift lower wedges added some unexpected fitment modifications but I can say has delivered results I wanted.

by:

The truck rides much better now, though I haven’t yet towed with the air bags yet. The bags took out that annoying side to side movement.
Just great!
Easy to install.

by:

The AirLift 5000 work great. The installation brackets didn't work for my Toyota RV & I had to fabricate the ones that'd mount to the frame. Otherwise, awesome improvement to the stability & ride.

by:

Great instructions and easy installation! Fit perfectly! Loaded my tractor to test them out and they completely leveled my sagging truck with 42psi.

by:

Good system seems to made very well. I also got the Airlift Compressor as well Would have done 5 stars but the quick mount doesn't fit a 2025 F250 frame. About an inch to small. DIRECTIONS are terrible, pictures are blurry. Had to you tube the install. for that much money a couple of more pages explaining better with clear pictures.

by:

Works amazing. The install was a little more difficult than it appears… It actually took me and a couple other guys five hours to get it completely installed.
There was a lot of cutting/grinding metal to make pieces fit properly, and had to drop the axel completely… I think that’s only for my gen 2 raptor.
At the end of the day, though I’m very happy with the result

by:

Just had them installed, I’ll be hauling a 9800lb travel trailer soon. That will be the real test!
Added 40lbs of air, they sit the rear of truck up nicely.

by:

I was easy to install just a few hours. Everything in the kit fit well. It would be nice if an extension brackets were provided for the brake line/abs wire mounting bars would be included like the brake line adapters that’s provided in the kit is my only recommendation to make it top notch.

Easy to install. The added stability and lifting capability is very noticeable. I've installed Air Lift Loadlifter bags on the front and now on the back. After a year of heavy use I have zero issues. Thank you for the great service and product!

by:

This I believe is the 5th set of rear air bags and three sets of fronts that I have purchased and most to my knowledge over the course of years are still in use without any issues. That is why I continue to use air lift products. For that reason I have not had to deal with you in any manner of issues. Just glad you sell a quality product. Can’t compare to others as I have not used any. Thanks Ron

  • Recommended Suspension Upgrade for a 2004 Holiday Rambler on a Workhorse P30/32 Chassis
Hey Doug, thanks for the information! For the front end of your 2004 Holiday Rambler, I recommend the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar and Bushing Kit item # RM-1109-116. This anti-sway bar will help with side to side movement, driver fatigue, and body roll. This sway bar fits if your Workhorse has a coil spring independent suspension and you do not have the widebody style. If you have the widetrack you'll need item # RM-1109-200. For the rear end, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000...

  • Is There A Compatible Air Spring Kit For A 1992 Chevy P30 Class A Motorhome - 14,800lb GVWR
Hi Robert, Both the Air Lift LoadLifter # AL88219 and # AL88203 unfortunately would not be a fit for your motorhome. The only compatible option for your motorhome's rear suspension would be the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TUR350. This jounce spring has a 6,000lb load leveling capacity and can help absorb the rough road shock that you're experiencing.

  • Air Bag Kit Fitment for a 1994 Winnebago Class A Motorhome with P-30 Chassis
The front Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4100 is the correct kit for a 1994 Chevy Class A chassis (should be the P-30) you have for your Winnebago motorhome! If you're looking for rear air bags as well then you need one of the following depending on the GVWR of your RV: - GVWR Less Than 14,500 lbs # AL88203 - GVWR Greater Than 14,500 lbs # AL88219

  • Recommended Air Bags for a 1994 P30 Class A Motorhome
Yes, I can confirm that the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs item # AL88219 will work with your 1994 P30 Class A Motorhome so long as it weighs 14,500 lbs or more. Pretty sure your class A weighs more than 14,500 lbs but if yours weighs less then 14,500 lbs you will need the Air Lift item # AL88203. They each have a 5,000 lbs load leveling capacity and come with all hardware and mounting brackets necessary to complete the install. I recommend adding the Air Lift WirelessONE...

  • Recommended Air Bags for a 2004 P32 Workhorse
The difference would be capacity and you would notice it. However, I checked with Airlift and there are no 1,000 HD bags that will fit your 2004 P32 Workhorse. The only option for air bags other than the Air Lift 1000 item # AL81560 you referenced is to use the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs item # AL88219. These are for your rear suspension and have a 5,000 lbs capacity. I also recommend adding the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor item # AL58WQ to your RV. This onboard...

  • Rear Air bags for 2001 P-series Workhorse Model P32
Hi Timothy, If you're wanting an air bag system for your 2001 P-series Workhorse model P32, I recommend using the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs part # AL88219. This air bag kit is rated for 5,000lbs of load support and each air bag has a built-in jounce spring to absorb more road shock going over bumps, but also to carry the load temporarily if your air bags were to lose pressure. The AL88219 are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi so you can adjust the level of support...

  • Replacement Rear Air Bag Availability for a 1999 Chevy P30 Motorhome
I completely understand wanting to make sure you get the right parts the first time, especially after already replacing the front airbags. The biggest challenge here is that we don't have a way to determine which brand of rear airbag system was originally installed on your motorhome. If the airbags have been replaced at some point in the last 25+ years, there's a good chance they may not be the same as what came on the chassis originally. If you're able to remove one of the existing airbags,...
