When your trailer carries serious weight, you need suspension parts built to match. This hanger kit is made for tandem, 10,000-lb, general-duty Dexter axles and keeps everything aligned with 48-1/2" axle spacing. With 5-1/4" tall front hangers, 4-1/2" tall center and rear hangers, and 24-5/8" long equalizers, it gives your 2-1/2" slipper springs the solid support they need for smooth suspension travel.
Getting the spacing right between axles makes all the difference in how your trailer rides. This kit locks in 48-1/2" between axles, with 38-1/3" between front and center hangers and 37-7/10" between center and rear hangers. The layout keeps axle alignment consistent and ensures even weight distribution, so your suspension works the way it’s supposed to mile after mile.
Each hanger and equalizer is made to handle high-load use. The equalizers are 24-5/8" long with a 1" diameter center hole and 3/4" side holes for secure bolt attachment. The front hangers use 3/4" bolt holes, center hangers use 1" bolt holes, and all mounting hardware is included—spring-eye bolts, equalizer bolts, and locknuts—so each connection point stays tight and true under load.
This kit attaches four leaf springs (sold separately) to your trailer frame and gives you a complete hanger layout ready to bolt in. The combination of 5-1/4" and 4-1/2" tall hangers keeps the ride height balanced while the long equalizers absorb road shock. The design works great for restoring a worn suspension or setting up a new build that demands dependable, heavy-duty performance.
