Video Transcript for Review of the Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the five inch lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs. Now, these spacers will allow your air springs to be installed on vehicles that have a five inch lift. It will include everything shown here on the table, the two spacers, the eight volts, and the eight lock washers. Now, the spacers themself are a heavy duty steel construction. They are designed to fit air springs that mount to the axle.

And these spacers attach between the bottom of the lower bracket and the bottom of the spring. The distance between the upper and lower brackets must be between 10-1/2 and 11-1/2 inches. The safe spacer must be the same size as your lift kit rise. As we mentioned, includes the two lift spacers, all the hardware necessary for installation. Now, these will not fit the Ride-Rite models F2350 or F2286.

They will fit the Ride-Rite model F2286 as long as it's manufactured after February 1st, 2006. But that should do it for the review on the five inch lift spacers for your Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs.

Put a 6 inch Super lift on my Chevy Silverado. Since my airbags were mounted to the frame and axle, I needed these blocks. They were easy to install and got the job done.

  • Best Airbags for a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with 6 Inch Lift
For your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2250. These airbags will do an excellent job of helping to distribute the weight of the trailer across the vehicle in addition to helping with stability and off center loads. Now in order to compensate for the 6" lift on your vehicle, you will need to add a spacer. The correct spacer for you will depend on the distance you have between the upper and lower brackets once installed....

  • How to Determine the Correct Lift Spacer Needed for Installing Ride-Rite Airbags on a Lifted Truck
Since you have a 6" lift on your 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 you will need a lift spacer in order for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2430 to work. The correct way to measure for a lift spacer is when the truck is on the ground without any added weight in the bed. You will want to measure from the bottom of the top bracket to the top of the bottom bracket where the airbags attach. You can choose the right spacer using the measurements attached below. • Can Firestone Ride Rite Kit Install on Truck with 6 inch Lift
Yes, Firesone makes lift spacers like the part # F2374 which allows their air bag kits like the part # F2582 to fit on vehicles with lifts. The spacer # F2374 is a 6 inch spacer which would be what you need if your lift raised the suspension of your truck 6 inches. A lot of times a 6 inch lift really lifts about 5 inches so if that's the case for you you'd instead want the part # F2373 for a 5 inch spacer kit.

  • Recommended Air Bags for 2022 Ford F-350
The best air bags for your 2022 F-350 are the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F35FV. These have a 5,000 lb load leveling capacity, four layers of reinforced rubber, and a rolled crimp seal to keep the bags anchored securely. Depending on your lift you will need to add spacers for installation to take up the additional space created by the lift. In order to determine the correct spacer you will want to measure the distance between where the upper and lower brackets would be located...

  • Air Bag Helper Springs for a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 6 Inch Lift
Does your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 have a 6 inch lift or is it the 6 foot bed? I ask because Air Lift kit # AL88204 only fits short bed models so if your truck has the 8 foot bed you would need to look at other options. Lift kits are interesting because you could have a 6 inch lift kit but the actual increase in height between the frame and axle might be less than 6 inches. This is important when picking out kits and available spacers. Air Lift's tallest spacer is 4 inches, # AL52440....

  • Available Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bag Kit F2550
If you do not know the height added by your truck's lift kit you can measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets (without the air bag) to determine which spacer you need to fill the gap. For a 2-inch spacer use # F2366; for a 3-inch use # F2368; for a 4-inch spacer use # F2370; for a 5-inch spacer use # F2373; for a 6-inch use # F2374. If your current lift block is tapered (from 3-1/2 to 4-inches tall) you'll probably be best off using the 4-inch spacer block # F2370.

I do have an option for you but the Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs part # AL59565 will not install with a block lift under the leaf spring. I recommend to use the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2430 which will work with the 6" block lift if you use spacers as confirmed by Firestone. The Firestone bags are more durable and less prone to punctures compared to the other brands available. You can measure for the correct size spacer with the truck on level ground without...

The correct spacer to use with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2355 on your 2007 Nissan Titan will be the one that matches the actual lift that the kit you installed provided. If you have an actual 6" lift in the rear then the correct spacer for you is the Lift Spacer for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2374. However, lift kit manufacturers often overstate the actual lift so more than likely you will be looking at either part # F2370 or part # F2373. I...

  • Using Firestone Air Bags on a 2000 Ford Excursion 4x4 with a 6 Inch Lift
Firestone makes a spacer kit for vehicles with a 6 inch lift. It is # F2375. To determine if this kit will fit measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets of the air bag kit. It that distance is 11-1/2 to 12-1/2 inches then the 6 inch spacer kit will work for you. If you get a different measurement let me know what it is and I can make other recommendations. Using a spacer kit will require some longer hardware in most applications. Longer hardware will need to be obtained locally.
