The flush design keeps the crossbars tight to the roofline, giving a sleek, from-the-factory style. Nothing extends past the feet, so the rack looks clean and integrated rather than bulky. The Thule WingBar Edge system includes 2 WingBar Edge crossbars and 4 Edge Flush Rail feet for that streamlined look that blends right in.
When you’re driving at highway speeds, wind noise from a roof rack can get annoying fast. The aero-style crossbars on this rack help smooth airflow to reduce drag and noise. The top channels include split rubber strips that close back up after you mount accessories, sealing the gap and cutting down vibration and whistling. You still get a solid rack without all the extra sound.
This rack is ready for every kind of adventure. You can attach cargo boxes for long road trips, clamp on a kayak cradle for weekend paddling, or add bike and ski mounts when you switch seasons. The bars accept both channel-mount accessories and clamp-on equipment, so you can use whatever gear fits your plans without swapping out your rack.
With some racks, mounting new gear means trimming rubber or fiddling with tight channels. Here, the split-strip design means you just slide your accessory into place—no cutting or modification needed. It keeps water and debris out while making installation quick and straightforward every time.
You can add Thule’s One-Key System locks (sold separately) to secure both the rack and your channel-mounted gear. It’s an easy upgrade that helps deter theft when you’re parked overnight or stopping for food mid-trip.
Crossbar dimensions are 34" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall and 37-1/2" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall. Top channels measure 3/4" wide x 1/8" tall x 3/8" opening. Weight capacity is 165 lbs, color is black, and construction is aluminum with a limited lifetime warranty.

I agree with you that the rack should include the keys however Thule only offers the one lock system separately as part # TH450400 for a 4 pack. They do it this way so that if you have other Thule accessories like a Thule kayak or bike carrier then you can have the option of ordering enough keys to swap them all out to key them the same. For example you can also buy a six part part # TH450600 or an eight pack like part # TH450800.
