Hi, Wondering how many inches the Thule cross bars add to the top of the VW Atlas factory installed rails that run from front to back? I need to lose an inch or 2 from the top of my current rack and hoping it sits closer to flush with the side rails rather than on top of them would help? Many thanks!

For your 2019 Volkswagen Atlas, the Thule WingBar Edge Crossbars # TH36FE and Edge Raised Rail Feet # TH69SC will be approximately 2" above the rails.
The Edge rack will be the lowest-profile roof rack that is available for your 2019 VW Atlas.
I do recommend considering locks to secure it to your roof by adding the Lock Cylinders # TH450400.
