These Heavy-Duty 50" long, square crossbars are built from structural-grade, extruded aluminum that gives you serious strength without weighing you down. With a 220-lb weight capacity, they’re ready for ladders, conduit cases, or work gear that needs a solid base. The aluminum construction resists corrosion and holds up to long-term use, whether you’re hauling tools to the jobsite or heading out with camping gear.
Each crossbar has a built-in C-channel on top that’s designed for mounting Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty accessories. The rubber strip inside cushions your load and adds slip resistance, so what you strap down stays put. You can also use the full-length under-bar slot for easy attachment to the legs, keeping your setup strong and balanced across the vehicle’s roof.
The front and rear leg sets are designed with different heights—3" in front and 2" in back—to match the roof curve so the bars stay level once installed. The rounded tops of each leg pivot to fine-tune alignment, keeping cargo boxes and rooftop trays sitting flat. The UV-resistant, glass-reinforced nylon bases use custom-fit pads that protect the roof finish while maintaining a tight grip at every mounting point.
Built-in security bolts deter theft and can only be loosened with the special tool that comes in the kit. Once installed, you’ll have peace of mind knowing your rack and gear aren’t easily removed when parked overnight or at trailheads. It’s a simple layer of protection that makes a big difference when you travel with valuable equipment.
The system installs directly to OEM fixed mounting points using pads and bolts—no drilling or guesswork needed. Expect about 15 minutes for installation and 5 minutes for removal when it’s time to switch setups. That means more time hauling gear instead of fighting complicated hardware or tools.

The M8 bolts and spring washer were missing from the packaging. A 30min job turned into 3 hours. At this price that is very disappointing. The racks are solid but installation is a bit weird. I wish the M10 channel nut was in a fixed position. It was a pain getting it to stay in the proper orientation while tightening. Also the end caps don't snap in and are easily pulled off. Overall the racks will do good but for the price I was expecting better.

The rack was very quick and easy to install. It fits well and is very solidly attached to our Transit van. The materials it is made from appear to be of high quality. We chose this rack over the one offered by Ford Motor Company because of it's aluminum crossbar as opposed to Fords rubber coated steel crossbars which could rust if the coating was scratched through.
This is exactly what I needed and specific to my vehicle. The installation video was very precise and will give anyone the confidence to install the roof rack with ease. The shipping was also very fast. I am very happy to have found this company and site.
Product arrived quickly, etrailer is awesome, however Rhino Rack missed a couple small parts. I am waiting on replacement parts from the factory itself, no telling the wait. The bars are good quality, instructions minimal. I would suggest a plastic bicycle tire lever to help install the rubber channel. Otherwise, I am waiting on the missing pieces to complete the install and report on performance.
This was a perfect fit for my 2010 Transit Connect. etrailer sent out the package the day after my order and I received it in Hawaii the next day after being shipped out. The Rhino Rack is great since it's a factory application using the roof bolts. Also, the bars already have a rubber lining for surf boards.
The roof racks have proven to be very strong. They have held up well with heavy loads from Missouri and throughout the west coast. I'm glad they were available.

Its been across the U.S. three times now without a problem. This rack is strong and will carry camping gear, festival gear, and a load of product. I did replace the original product nuts with stainless steel nuts. The original worked fine but I preferred the stainless.
I have a 2012 Ford transit connect and the install was very smooth and easy. Uses the factory mounting points and is a breeze. Took me less than 30 minutes

After a year of ownership I still like the rack a lot. The rubber strip is holding up great. The only thing I would improve is to make the rack slightly longer by like 2 inches or so on each side so the if I put a sheet of plywood up there its easier to hook a strap underneath. its 48 wide, and plywood is 48 wide.
I mounted these racks on my Transit Connect about a year ago and have to say that I’m quite happy with them. Easy to mount and they are weathering well.
I tie down all sorts of things to these racks that won’t fit in the van. I would have given them a higher rating if they had come with a better way to attach straps or bungee’s. I’ve “McGivered” my own ways to make that work.
Im now looking at an awning to go with these. I’ll probably get another Rhino-Rack product, they seem to be pretty well made.

The RLZ01-DC I s a good solid product. In fact it is stronger than any of the competing products I looked at. etrailer's video made it a snap to install. My only complaint it that it was shipped with many of the fasteners missing. A quick call to etrailer remedied the situation, and a new parts kit was sent.
I was concerned that the height of the rack was so high that I would not be able to get my 2012 Transit Connect into my very low carport. etrailer responded to my question about this with a very good photo showing the exactly the dimensions I needed. In fact it IS too high to fit, but I have decided to keep the rack anyway and only install it when I need to haul something.
I am particularly pleased with the ability to quickly remove and reinstall (8 easily accessed screws).

I just received my Rhino roof rack and am very pleased with the super fast shipping. The rack seems very strong and it’s very easy to install. I will have to order the 3rd rail also as I had planned on adding a rooftop tent and the tent wouldn’t have enough support on the back. Rhino rack is holding up great! I discovered that the leaking onto the seatbelt after installing the rack was due to not using the rubber washer that was attached to the old roof plugs. I reinstalled the racks using those washers and no more leak. If anyone is having a leaking problem, that’s how to fix it.
For the most part easy install, very straightforward, inserting the rubber into the rails needed some effort. The video on your website of the install has the rubber already inserted.
