Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the WeatherTech side window air deflectors with dark tinting for the front. And that's going to be Part Number WT-80766. That's also available with light tinting, using Part Number WT-70766.So here's what our air deflectors look like on our Colorado. These are going to be available for the front only, for the rear only, or as a complete set where we'll get the front and rear. The deflectors are going to come in handy in a lot of different situations. For instance, if it's raining outside and you want to let some of that stale air out of the vehicle and let some of that fresh air come in but not get wet, these are going to keep the window covered enough that it will let air out, but water can't get inside.
It's also going to come in handy on those rainy days where it may be hot, but you know it's going to rain later on. Well, we can leave our window cracked like we have here so we won't have all that heat building up inside whenever we go to get in our car later. Each one of our deflectors is going to be made out of a three millimeter thick acrylic construction, so they're going to be extremely flexible, but also very durable and hold up over time. Now what I really like about these is the design. They're going to have a really sleek design to them, real low-profile, they're not going to stick out real far like some of the older ones. And these are going to actually go inside the window channel rather than the ones that go onto the outside of our door frame when we have that double-sided tape sticking on.Another benefit of the in-channel design is that we're going to have this entire vertical section of our window covered as well, so as we roll the window down, we're still going to have coverage from the front so we don't have to worry about any kind of rain or anything else coming into our window. So if you want to roll your window down on those rainy days but not get wet, these are going to be a great option, while still looking really nice and having that low-profile design.
So now that we've seen what they look like and gone over some of the features, let's show you how easy it is to get them installed. To begin your installation, you want to make sure your window's completely rolled down. Then we can grab our front window deflector. Now, you're going to just know it's the right size and it's the front because it's going to contour along with the window here. So we'll take this front piece and we're going to put it into the window channel. And this bottom edge here is going to rest right on the windowsill. Now, we want to leave this corner out for now and we're going to bend it slightly so we can get this back section in like this.
And then, we're going to start working the deflector in, and as we start working it in, we're going to want to slide this back section up at the same time. And we just kind of make sure it sits in there all the way. Once we have it in, we're going to want to gently pry away from the vehicle, just a little bit, to make sure it seats in there all the way. And then we're going to want to open the door and run the window up and down at least five times. And this will help make sure that it seats fully in the channel there.
So with this one installed, we can move to the other side and put that one in as well. That'll finish up your look at the WeatherTech side window air deflectors for the front on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado.
