Make your vehicle easier to steer and control with the TruTrac system. This unique rod keeps your vehicle's axle in line so that your wheels won't veer into ruts. 4140 Chromoly steel and polyurethane bushings are strong and long-lasting.

Features:

  • Braces your vehicle's axle to prevent jarring and help keep it in line
    • Minimizes wander and rut tracking to improve overall performance
    • Controls excessive axle side play without affecting the up-and-down movement of your suspension
  • Reduces driver fatigue - minimizes effort required to keep your vehicle in line
  • Built with polyurethane bushings instead of the standard rubber variety for a longer-lasting system
    • Polyurethane is durable and resistant to damage caused by oil, gasoline and ozone
    • Less wear means less give in the system and better support
  • Constructed of thick, cadmium-plated 4140 chromoly steel for superior strength
  • Installs using existing holes in your vehicle's frame - no drilling or welding required
  • Includes all mounting hardware and installation instructions
  • Limited 1-year warranty
  • Made in USA

Rut tracking occurs when your truck or RV hits an uneven patch of pavement and is, consequently, pulled into that rut and off of the smooth pavement. With larger trucks and motor homes, this problem can be difficult to correct because you have to work even harder to steer back onto the road. With Roadmaster's TruTrac system, rut tracking is a thing of the past. The unique Trac rod attaches to the front axle of your vehicle, essentially holding it in place to prevent jarring and any unnecessary shifting. In addition to minimizing rut tracking, the TruTrac system helps to end driver fatigue by eliminating wander, which is the "loose steering" feeling that causes you to oversteer.

  • SumoSprings for 2007 Monaco La Palma 34 on Workhorse Chassis
Hey Claude! The SumoSprings are not the same for the front and rear axle. Sometimes they are only available for the front and not for the rear due to the design of the vehicle/chassis. Do you know what model that Workhorse chassis is? I wasn't able to find any specific information on the Workhorse models, only those with the Roadmaster chassis. If it is a W20, W22, or W24 you can use the SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-280-54-1. If you have something else please...

  • Is Roadmaster TruTrac RM-TRACF53 For 1996 Ford F-53 The Entire Kit
You are correct that the picture does make it seem like it's only one side, but the entire kit is included with the TruTrac that fits a 1996 Ford F-53 (for coaches with V8 engines), which is the Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod for Large Trucks and RVs # RM-TRACF53. If you take a look at the photo I added below of the # RM-TRACF53 installed, you can see it braces both the driver and passenger side.

  • SumoSpring Fit for Front Suspension of 2008 Fleetwood Bounder 35H Motorhome
The Sumo Springs front helper springs you need for your 2008 35H Fleetwood Bounder Motorhome will depend on which chassis it's built on. If it's on the Ford chassis, you'd use # SSF-171-40-2. If it's on the Workhorse chassis, use # SSF-280-47. I've linked to some product videos that you might find helpful.

  • Recommended Suspension Enhancement For a 1996 Fleetwood Bounder 28T on Ford F-53 Chassis V8 Engine
For your 1996 Fleetwood Bounder 28T of the Ford F-53 chassis with the V8 I recommend the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-143. This will add a sway bar to the rear of your suspension to reduce sway and provide better stability when turning. First you will want to check your U-Bolts on your rear axle to determine if they are going to be long enough to allow for the sway bar. A 1/2" thick plate will need to be added to the U-bolts. We have the Square Extended U-Bolt Kit # RM-590050-00...

  • Will Installing a Roadmaster TruTrac Trac Rod Help the Handling of a Motorhome
A steering stabilizer like the Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod # RM-TRACF53 would be a great addition to your motorhome. This product braces the axle of the vehicle to prevent jarring and keep it inline which will reduce driver fatigue by minimizing effort to keep vehicle in line. Basically this product is great for reducing rut tracking. Rut tracking occurs when your truck or RV hits an uneven patch of pavement and is, consequently, pulled into that rut and off of the smooth...

  • Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2015 Winnebago Vista 26 to Reduce Wind Sway
The RVs built on a Ford F53 chassis are pretty notorious for sway and body roll. We have found that the modification that makes the most significant improvement is a rear sway bar. For that you would want the part # RM-1139-145 which is a confirmed fit. The next biggest improvement you'll see is a front sway bar like the part # RM-1139-148 which is a confirmed fit too. After that the Track bars, like you mentioned, would be the next biggest improvement but we no longer have any for your...

  • Anti-Sway Bars and Steering Stabilizer for a Motorhome Built on a 1997 Ford F-53 Chassis
If you are having a hard time keep the steering wheel centered while driving the RV then a steering stabilizer is the way to go. If the RV is getting pushed around by wind then an anti-sway bar would be the way to go. If you want the driving experience to be as rock solid as possible then a front and rear anti-sway bar and steering stabilizer is the way to go! For the 1997 Ford F-53 chassis you can add a steering stabilizer but only if it has the V8 motor. It is # RM-RBK4-RSSA. You can...
