Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Hopkins Double Protection Windshield Cover, here on our 2020 Ford Escape. This is gonna do two things. It's going to protect your windshield from the snow during the winter season, and it's also gonna keep your car cool during the hotter months. Installing this thing is super easy. Once you have it on the windshield you are just gonna open your door, and throw this hook and whatever excess flap you have left inside, and do that on both sides. And then make a connection on the inside.
And once you have both hooks inside the vehicle, I'm just gonna go ahead and hook 'em together. So overall, this thing works great if it fits, but over here on our Escape there's a lot of windshield and wiper blade showing. So to have a better fit and more protection from the snow, I highly recommend you check out the etrailer Two-in-one Windshield and a Wiper Blade Cover. Sorry but this product was a disappointment. I ordered it to cover the windshield and protect the interior from the desert sun. I lasted less than 30 days. The material curled up, exposing the interior to the sun, and the straps stretched out of shape so much a light breeze would lift it.
I love my windshield covers. I use one on the front as well as the back window. They are quick and easy to install and they make cleaning the window after snow or ice so much quicker. I do, however, put the strap at the top. I found it keeps the cover snug at the top and stays in place better.
It was so lite that when I unboxed the idem it blew half way across my yard, l purchase the cover for protection from the sun because l have no garage.
Iam going to reorder and purchase the better cover, the same as I purchase for my GMC truck some time ago, and it’s iust great
Followed all the prompts an received a cover that was not even close to the correct dimensions

This is a really great outside windshield cover. I just put it on last night before a snow storm hit overnight. Woke up this morning for work, and windshield was completely clear!! Saved a LOT of time. Snow AND ice free. It's not as big as I thought though. I have a Honda Accord and it didn't cover my wipers, but it's still a GREAT investment for Winter here!! I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
I expected this "one size fits all" product to be a little too big for my 1998 model Pontiac sedan windshield, but instead it is smaller than I would like. I cannot cover my entire windshield, so must make a choice between leaving the top 1/4 uncovered, bottom 1/4 uncovered or a portion of both the top and bottom uncovered... none of which is a great choice.
Oh well. It's better than nothing. Live and learn.

They are of high quality and very thick, providing excellent insulation against the cold and making tiresome windshield scraping on frigid mornings a thing of the past. Highly recommended!
This may look inexpensive, but it's actually works great. I have a Toyota Tacoma and it fits perfect, it also fits over my windshield wipers.
I love this windshield cover for snow and ice. Put it on before the winter storm comes and when you take it off after the storm the windshield is clean and wipers are not frozen to anything. No cleaning and scraping ice off of windshield anymore!! great product
The windshield cover are great and make get the ice off of your windshield fast and easy. The trailer tie loops are a great value. They help tying your load quickly.
I have a Crosstrek, & although the fit is a little small, it is an excellent product. What I like is that it is easy to put on the windshield, and can be secured tightly. I would highly recommend this. The price is very reasonable, too.
I was skeptical about this product when I read the reviews. I used it once so far and am very pleased at the results. The cover covered my entire windshield (Ford F250) and kept both the snow and ice off. I also like the fact that etailer has "how to" videos on many of it's products. It makes the buying decision process so much easier..

Fast delivery, great item. Just git the carrier today. After a quick, minor assembly, carrier is a designed and ready for use.
Great product. My only complaint is that the elastic bands lose their tautness w/the passage of time. Perhpas a heavier gauge of elastic would resolve this issue.

Well, one of the straps came off and the silver coating has worn off in a couple of places, but it still keeps my windshield frost free for the most part!
Shade broke the first time I tried to use it. It will NOT fit 2000 F150, 2004 F350 or 2014 F150

Thank you for your review. This is a universal fit windshield cover. You should measure your window before purchasing. The dimensions are: 70 Long X 29 tall
Bought two of these, fit is very good on my sons Chevy S10 but the cover is a too small for my dodge ram 1500. Hopefully they will stand up over the winter.

Great itemI thought it was a bit gimmicky but I needed to buy something to get the free shipping. I gave it to my son-in-law in Idaho. It is amazing. It snows there all the time and his window is always clear.
