Crosswinds, rough pavement, or a sudden blowout can throw any vehicle off line. The Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer uses a sturdy, tempered steel spring that constantly works to keep your steering centered. When the spring compresses, it pushes back to neutral; when it extends, it pulls back. That means your wheel naturally finds center after every bump or swerve, so you don’t have to fight the steering wheel to keep straight.
Wandering or overcorrecting on the highway makes long drives a chore. This stabilizer mounts between the steering mechanism and the chassis, forming a direct connection that keeps steering firm and predictable. It helps correct oversteering and steady the wheel after uneven road patches or sudden gusts, so driving feels controlled and responsive instead of twitchy or loose.
When you’re logging hours behind the wheel, every correction adds up. The Roadmaster Reflex keeps your vehicle in line through crosswinds, rut tracking, or road edging, reducing how much you have to steer to stay centered. With less wandering and fewer corrections, you arrive feeling more relaxed and less worn out.
No drilling or welding is needed—this kit comes complete with the stabilizer, custom mounting brackets, and all necessary hardware. Installation takes about an hour with common tools. Once mounted, the sturdy steel design holds up under real-world driving and keeps steering performance consistent mile after mile.

We have driven about 3,400 miles since the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer install. I can honestly say it has made a significant difference in the handling of our Class C RV. Before installing the Stabilizer the RV steering felt like it wanted to drift one way or the other depending on road conditions. This is no longer the case. Much less work to steer.
I installed this on my 2003 Chevy Express 3500 Roadtrek Class B motorhome to help with steering wander. It improved the issue by about 75%. A noticeable improvement. The instructions were a little difficult to follow, but with some tech support help, I was able to remedy the issue by reversing the position of the small end bracket (see pic) that attaches to the steering center link. This is basically a shock absorber (dampener with spring) mounted horizontally on the steering Linkage. It worked well.
To start off, the folks at etrailer were the most professional and helpful. I cannot remember a company I have dealt with in the past that offers such help in determining the correct product and answering my many questions.
The installation of the RBK22 bracket was flawless. I was very concerned because of the size of my Newmar Country Star 3911 motor home (26,000 GVRW). The U bolt nuts came off without a lot of strain, since I went out an purchased a 3/4" breaker bar. We installed the mounting bracket and re torqued the U bolt nuts to the factory 250 ft. lbs of torque.
Installing the RSSA went smooth as well. Check out the pictures below. We then took the motor home out on the freeway and drove it between 65 - 70 mph. Steering was wonderful! Before, I could only drive 55 mph and had to constantly fight with the steering wheel to keep the motor home straight.
Thank you etrailer and Roadmaster for such a great product!

This stabilizer is great! Installed today (10/24) on my Georgetown 34H5. Took my it for a ride down Interstate 20 for about 5 miles. Was passed by a couple of semis and hardly felt anything! Your product is great. Looking forward to my trip to New Orleans in January.
Improved the handling but was just barely able to fit it on my Chevy Express 4500 chassis with a little modification to the bracket.
It does do a good job. The only possible change that I would like to see is to the attachment at the tie rod end. It can be a challenge to torque the u bolts to spec.
Thanks
The Roadmaster Reflex RV Steering Stabilizer has made a huge improvement in how our 22 E 450 coach drives. We live in South Central Kansas and wind is often a big problem . The Relex has been a great investment .
If you have a Ford E350 or E450, but this. Your future RVing self will thank you. East to install and a real game changer when it comes to driving. It takes attention to detail to get it centered but it is not difficult to get it done. No more wandering from lane to lane and no white knuckles when driving in the wind or meeting wind jamming semi truck.
Relatively easy install - huge difference in the steering of my Coach.
Steering is tight , no wandering ,love the return to center !!
These should be standard equipment on every motorhome sold - no exceptions.
Our Ford E350 got blown all over the Interstate on trips. It was so dangerous at times. At first I installed Bilstein shocks and though they helped a little, installing the front and rear anti-sway bars and the steering stabilizer made all the difference in the world. I changed them all at the same time so I don't know which one helped the most. These are certainly quality products and are pretty easy to install.
It took me about an hour to install the RM stabilizer and was surprised that no adjustment was needed after the test drive. I had to call back e Trailer to get torgue specs since it was not included in the package. Overall a great investment my van drives a lot better particularly on the freeway.
As of right now it gives a tighter feel to the steering. I had it put on by a local Rv dealer on 1/2026 for the up coming camping season. I have a Coachmen 29FW 2024
What awesome product I had it installed at an alignment shop took about 45 minutes, took it out on the highway and it did a better job then I ever could ask for. I now feel in control of my A Class Coach 100 percent better driving No more White knuckles it’s a joy to drive. Why Ford didn’t put a product like this on from the factory is beyond me. Could not be happier with the Reflex Steering Stabilizer made by Roadmaster E Trailer was awesome to work with also Thanks again
Quality built steering stabilzer. Well packaged and arrived within my expected time frame.
First, I did have to grind off corner of the plate that mounts under leaf spring bolts. It would not lay flush so I tapered one of the edges where it met the axel a little bit till it laid flush. I did buy a 3/4 inch wrench set but with an rv, it's good to have and will possible allow me to get the 22.5 inch wheels off in an emergency. This with a good solid 3' pipe and I was able to fairly easily break the leaf spring bolts free. I used boards to ensure the fronts tires were fairly straight, laying them alongside the tires and eyeballing to see where they lined up with the back tires which are about 4 inches wider than the front outside width. I mounted the steering stabilizer and took it for a test drive and it was good the first time, no additional adjustments needed. Feels good on the road, good around turns, and even at low speeds around the driveway, I did not notice any extra effort to turn the wheel due to the heavy spring on the stabalizer. Put about 75 miles on it and it feels solid and stable though no high winds or passing semi trucks yet. But my 2007 ford f53 22000 lb chassis under a holiday rambler admiral body has always felt pretty good. Just trying to make better, next up is the new koni evo fsd heavy duty shocks coming today.
Haven’t received it yet.
Good Product. Works great!
The entire process was easy. Once installed the problems I was experiencing were corrected, and the roadway became a friend again.
Except for the crap roads that CA fails to care for.
EVERYTHING FIT GREAT A MUST FOR ANY MOT ORHOME
Exactly what I needed to replace a weak and failing steering damper on our f-53 chassis Bounder RV. Very easy to install and makes a huge difference in handling.
2010 33' Thor Hurricane Had to modify one mounting bracket { no problem} bolted on and totally improved handling. Priced right works great.
Definitely a game changer my wide body motorhome drives straight down the road without white knuckling it
