Nothing feels worse than that side-to-side rocking when you hit a curve or get passed by a big rig. The Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar ties the rear axle to the frame to balance weight transfer through turns and uneven surfaces. Its 1-1/4" diameter 4140 chromoly steel bar is thick and tough, resisting twist for a level, planted ride. The setup minimizes body roll so the rig stays steady and predictable no matter what the road or wind throws at you.

When driving for hours, constant steering corrections wear you out fast. This bar cuts out that tiring sway by keeping the rear of the vehicle in line. It works like a horizontal shock absorber—smoothing side-to-side motion so you don’t have to fight the wheel in crosswinds or while passing semis. You’ll feel more relaxed behind the wheel and fresher when you reach your stop.
This isn’t basic stamped steel and rubber. The 4140 chromoly construction delivers superior strength—harder and stronger than standard 1020 steel—and the polyurethane bushings resist oil, gasoline, and ozone. That means they won’t squish out or crack like rubber, keeping the system firm and consistent for the long haul. Less wear means better support and smoother performance over time.

Installation is simple with the included heavy-gauge hardware, instructions, and bushing lube. The bar and brackets mount right to the axle and chassis without drilling, and it’s designed to work around most aftermarket suspension gear. You can even pair it with a front sway bar for added stability if your setup allows. Once bolted up, you’ll spend less time wrenching and more time enjoying a solid, confident drive.
Ratings & Reviews
Received the product in a timely manner. The shipping company used I’d give a no star rating. I received the anti-sway bar bare out of a box or wrapper with the installation part box and a cut out piece of cardboard with the shipping label on it taped to the bare bar with about five yards of packing tape. The bar was scuffed, scratched and chipped with the RoadMaster label destroyed. I realize it’s going to be installed under the front of my motorhome but as much as it costed I would like to be the one to scratch and scuff it. If I was a company installing this on a customers vehicle I’d return it. I do not believe it was shipped from etrailer in this condition.
Great buying experience with ETrailer. Fast shipping and quality constructed part. Noticeable difference in controlling body sway. Very pleased with the bar and highly recommend Etrailer.
Excellent high quality product made a big difference in handling with heavy Artic Fox camper
Give poor rating regarding installation instructions
RM-1109-121 Rear Sway bar for 85 Chevyvan G30 RV. Install was pretty straightforward. I would mount the brackets to the frame first and then the sway bar to the axle. It’s easier to drill the holes without the sway bar getting in the way.
Before I replaced the shocks and upgraded the from sway bar and added the rear sway bar my G30 Chevyvan Winnebago was a wallow wagon. It took 110% focus to drive. Now it drives like a regular vehicle. Smooth. No leaning over when cornering. It’s night and day.
Easy install!
Like the online videos too
Easy Install
Everything fit worked as well has factory no complaints whatsoever
Installing was easy and straight forward. I think it makes a difference in my towing and non towing driving. I like it very much
When attempting to install this I quickly realized that the arms were way too short. Called etrailer and was informed it was the right product for my truck. Called Roadmaster and after several back and forth calls it was determined that it would not work on my truck because it had after market airbags. Was never told that would be a problem. So now I’m sending it back and paying for a new box because the original was too damaged plus having to pay return shipping
This sway bar is a game changer was going to get rid of camper until I put the sway bar in works great! Best money I spent!
This sway bar works great even with an 11-foot truck camper loaded on it.
Installation went super well thank to the online videos. Took me less than 1.5 hours to install by myself. I used a spare tire to prop up the sway bar while getting each side bolted up. I installed it on a 2017 3500 Ram and we use a Arctic Fox 990 truck camper. It eliminated about 90% or more of the sway we experienced before. I would highly recommend this product.
This is the second Roadmaster rear anti sway bar I have purchased thru etrailer, again you will be hard pressed to find a better product than Roadmaster, fast shipping, quality product, easy install, and night and day difference when towing a heavy load. Installed on a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 SRW. Thank you etrailer!
Very happy with the sway bar. Make sure you have the frame brackets tight to the frame.

Still works well, does have clunk when you hit a bump. Talked with roadmaster and we could not identify cause. Make sure brackets are tight to frame, they will move.
I recently purchased and installed a rear sway bar for my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 diesel truck.. I searched through several models of bars but wanted one that was similar to the factory bar I had on my 2000 Dodge 2500 4x4. This Roadmaster bar is of excellent quality and bolts to the bottom brackets of the rear differential so the installation is very solid on the axle. The vertical links mount to 2 very sturdy brackets that attach to the frame rails. All the hardware is marked on the heads as graded hardware. The bars, links, urethane bushings and all hardware are excellent quality. This installation made an immediate improvement in my trucks roll stiffness. The factory does not make a rear roll bar for these year trucks for some reason. My previous Dodge had the camper package and came with a nice rear sway bar. This etrailer Roadmaster setup is a good option for anyone looking for something like a factory bar. The folks at etrailer were very knowledgable about their product and very helpful making sure I got the unit I needed. I will definitely recommend them and their products as well as use them in the future for my truck needs.
Installed on 05 ram dually for slide in truck camper hauling. Huge improvement with sway, truck handles much better. East to install. Works as advertised and components and elastic components beefier than the well touted competitive product.

Great... Works as advertised
Installation was as expected.
I have not driven my truck with the camper on it or pulled my race car trailer.
Around the block empty the truck felt stiffer.

I drive a 1 ton diesel and pull a 8000 # trailer. This anti sway bar makes this combination travel with none of the previous uncomfortable problems. I wonder why my truck came without a sway bar. Recommend to other Dodge owners.
This is beefy and fits like a glove (OJ'S I BELIEVE). The only thing that made the whole installation a .... nightmare was the complete lack of instructions and/or video with in-depth visuals. This is definitely a 2 person install, if nothing else to hand stackable hardware while you're holding everything in place. Once installed and road tested, I'm a believer, does exactly what it is designed to accomplish. Also, item showed in stock when ordered but still took well over a week to ship with no explanation??

Sold truck 2 months ago. Worked great with a Host Mammoth on its back
I should have got a stronger sway bar.
Installation was an all day project. To install both upper brackets with the nuts welded to them I spent hours trying to get the 2nd bolts to thread into the welded nuts without cross threading them.
I've been a mechanical contractor for 30 years and these were one of the worst fitting parts I've ever worked with. I don't know if I got bad parts or or they're all this difficult to install on a 2016 Ram 3500 dually.
I will call Roadmaster to see what there explanation is for these parts.

It seems that these were in fact cross threaded. What problem we usually see is that if the threads are not lining up, people using an impact will not be aware of the cross threading and will install the bolts all the way, leading to further complications. However, it seems like you are not having that same type of issue. I have reached out to the manufacturer for you and they have said that this is not a common issue for this system. If you have already contacted Roadmaster, have you received information from the manufacturer about your specific situation?
Installation was straightforward and fairly easy to install. The instructions were clear which helped to get the anti-sway bar installed without any damage or incident during the process. What a difference it makes while driving. Great product.
This is on a 2004 Dodge 2500 with a 2500 lbs truck camper, Dirt bike on a hitch rack, and 2 mountain bikes on a front rack. The sway bar definitely helps. This one fit well around my stupid 5" exhaust that was installed by the previous owner. The Hellwig would not clear it. I have the Timbren SES and wedges in my leaf springs as well. The sway bar is a nice addition to those items. What I really notice is that when making emergency maneuvers or going off road, the truck corrects quicker than before and feels safer and less likely to tip over. I would not say the bar by itself will solve all of your issues, but couples with other remedies, it will help make your top heavy overloaded ride feel safer. With all my additions, I can confidently go the speed limit and often times well above through the Colorado mountains with no issues.
Relatively easy installation on my 2004 Ram 3500. It would have been easier if I had removed the spare tire. I only noted a few minor issues. The instructions say to mount the U brackets to the rear two holes in the shock mounts. However, on this truck the shocks mount one in front and one in rear. Therefore, the passenger side mounts in the rear two holes, but the driver side mounts in the front two holes. Otherwise all went well.

It works as well as it always has. Never a problem and helps hold my camper upright.
