Features to know about

Avoid Awkward Overhang: Seamless, Factory-Look Design

The flush-mount setup keeps these crossbars tight to your roofline for a clean, from-the-factory style. The bars don’t extend past the legs, so the rack looks built-in instead of bolted-on. It’s a low-profile system that stays sleek and aerodynamic, helping cut down on drag for a smoother ride.

Keep the Ride Quiet: Aerodynamic Bars with Vortex Strips

Wind noise can get tiring on long drives, but these crossbars are built to keep things calm. The slim, elliptical Vortex Aero design helps air move smoothly over the roof while the rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels disrupt airflow to reduce whistling and drag. You won’t need to add a fairing, and you’ll notice how quiet it feels even at highway speeds.

Built to Handle Your Gear: Strong, Rustproof Construction

When you’re loading up for a trip, strength matters. The lightweight, structural-grade anodized aluminum bars use an internal H-shaped extrusion for solid support without adding bulk. They’re rustproof so they can stay on year-round, and the UV-treated, glass-reinforced nylon legs handle tough weather and heavy cargo loads. With a rack weight capacity of 165 lbs (always follow your vehicle’s maximum roof load), you’ll have confidence every time you hit the road.

Take What You Want on Every Trip: Works with Channel-Mount and Clamp-On Accessories

These crossbars make it easy to bring just about any gear you want—kayaks, skis, cargo boxes, or fishing setups. The built-in C-channel lets you attach channel-mounted carriers and accessories, while most clamp-on mounts fit right onto the bars too. The split Vortex strips can be trimmed around mounting hardware and reinserted to keep things sealed and quiet after installation.

Protect Your Setup: Built-In Locks for Added Security

Each leg includes locking covers that secure both the rack and any channel-mounted accessories in place. The covers are keyed alike so one key handles them all. It’s a simple system that keeps your gear safe whether you’re parked at a campsite or heading into town for supplies.

Easy to install and fit perfect.

From a 1 star to a 10 star in the blink of an eye. My review starts out as a one star review simply because I got 2 halves of different roof rack systems that could not be assembled on my vehicle. The 2nd half of my review would be 10 stars if they had 10 stars. We were going on vacation the week I received the wrong material. I emailed and had replacements within 2 days. I assembled it, loaded up my car top carrier and away we went. Quickest reaction for any customer service ever. I was very please in the end and would definitely buy from etrailer again.

Decent roof rails for the money. I use them once a year to mount a roof basket to my truck for my annual archery elk hunt in CO each Sept. They held very well and did not damage my truck's appearance following removal.

by:

The rack is installed on a BMW 2016 X4 3.5i with a naked roof (no factory rails installed). My preferred roof rack would be the factory Tesla Model X, for its sleek fit and finish. I could not find an exact match, but the reasons for choosing the Rhino-Rack ROC25 was lower cost (compared to Yakima), and no rails required (I don't like them). Also, to install aftermarket rails the roof liner needs to be dropped, and I did not want to go that route.

Installation instructions were easy. There some increase in wind noise but this is expected at some level with every roof rack. I have not noticed any whistling sound that some roof racks seem to produce based on my research, at least till 60mph

I do have a minor nit with the high precision of measurements asked (example: 7/32, 5/16th). IMO, these are overkill and could have be simplified to 1/8ths.

These are the perfect roof rack if you don't have factory rails on your vehicle. They've been installed for almost a year and they have not slipped or moved. This roof rack is clean and easy to install with no wind noise, very happy.

by:

Assembly was slightly complicated but overall high quality parts. Very happy with the product!

by:

Honestly; it looks good and works as I need it. But I’m only using it over the drivers seat. Not using it over the back seat.
I don’t really need it but I would put it on if I could. I barely got the front on. The bolts seam way to short . The whole bracket seams like it could be a tad bit wider.I did all the measurements several times.there isn’t a lot of bolt threads holding it together but it must be enough. That’s why I’m not taking it off when not needed lol I did on my old truck. If I were to take the cap off my truck and needed the rear rack… guess I would have to go bolt shopping or something first.

by:

The cross bars assembled easily and with some assistance mounted to the car perfectly. I just got them on tonight and am going to be doing a bit of driving tomorrow and will report back with any noise issues. I do not expect any issues. I have purchased a few things for the same vehicle from etrailer and have been pleased all around with each.

by:

Great setup. Pay close attention during initial setup. Some parts look very similar. They are not. Otherwise fitment was flawless. Looked good on vehicle. No noticeable wind noise with the added wind shield.

by:

I have a 2012 Camry hybrid and haul a 180 L windsurfing board. My rack came as promised but lacked one of the bolts needed. I made one phone call and the missing bolt was on my porch in 2 days.

There's virtually no wind noise, surprising since the car is very very quiet at baseline and I expected there to be some.

My car lacks tie down or towing attachments so I got some of the loop type that clamp under the hood and trunk.

I'm very pleased with construction, fit, ease of use, and customer support. I'd buy it again.

by:

Solid construction and easy to assemble. Would give it 5 stars but the mounting pads had 3 of the M699 and only one of the M700. (should have been 2 of each). The written instructions are next to useless and hard to follow.

by:

Easy install. Tough, well made. Great buyer experience. This is my second purchase from etrailer and I’ll definitely use them again.

by:

The racks are sturdy and they fit my car as intended. The plastic legs which attach to the crossbar on either end wouldn't initially fit on though. The plastic didn't sit flush against the metal and it required about an hour of carving plastic out before I could force them on. After that was sorted out, the rest of the assembly was smooth. They seem solid.

by:

Worked how I'd expect it too. I traveled 1800 miles going a cross the USA dealing with high wind advisory carrying my kayak with me as I moved and the crossbars held up and so did my kayak. Thank you

by:

Exactly what I needed. Great fit, and easy installation.

by:

Great product, great service from etrailer. The instructions were very clear and I had it installed on my car in under an hour. It's very solid

by:

Easy installation and has a somewhat sleek look compared to some other racks. Adds a lot of utility to to our truck.

by:

This rack is a perfect low profile rack that has enough clearance to allow the pano sunroof to open freely while installed. I will be using it to transport my stand up paddle boards. I love how there is no bar overhang with this rack and has a flush custom look. It was easy to install with the help of the instructional video on etrailer’s website. Shipping took longer than expected but it was 100% the fault of USPS and the employees at etrailer were extremely helpful in getting it figured out. I would absolutely recommend this rack and would definitely purchase from etrailer again.

by:

Worth every penny, 1 year later and it’s still holding up strong with the peace of mind that my kayak won’t go flying off in travel.

by:

Good morning Amber, first and foremost I would like to thank you for your help and excellent customer service.
You went beyond the standard help to a customer in order to find what he needed and you worked closely with the applications and measurements in order to fit my car.
In this case it was not an easy application for my Cadillac unlike many other local dealers turned me down. Your experience got me the right Rhino Rack for my collectable car.
After installing it, I test drove it with good weight with 3 Surfboards on top on them and they perform excellent, sturdy and solid and no sound at high speed. Love the Racks!

Thanks again for your service Amber

Great rack for my 2022 Edge! Great videos for ease of installation but did take two of us. Would have 5 stars but for one of the adhesive pads coming out after just 3 weeks of use. Just emailed customer service to let them know and ask for replacement adhesive pad(s).

I've used this rack a few times now on my Range Rover Sport, and it has worked flawlessly. Two reasons why I went went with this rack, I liked the rounded ends vs the racks that over hang over (if this gives you enough rack space), and I wanted to easily take down because I like the clean roof look without the roof rails as I only need a rack 2-3 times a year. They don't leave mark and it's also cheaper than the OEM ones. I marked the 4 areas on the roof with tape to easily align my brackets, re-tighten all 4 and they are back up. I use with an older cargo box and can still open my large sun roof. I bought the RR573 ski holders too which I really like. I've used them separately with 2 pairs of ski's, and plan to use them together side-by-side later this year. I measured and they should barely fit next to each other.

by:

These crossbars were absolutely great. Installation was a breeze made transporting our kayaks and all of our camping stuff a lot easier.

by:

Great solution to our 2nd gen Ford Edge w naked roof. Functionally just what we needed. Looks great. Pretty quiet but does make a low volume whistling noise that I can hear at low to moderate speeds. QR code that comes with the model specific pads and hooks did not link to the specific instructions I needed for installation but e-trailer rep provided me with them via email and then it was no problem. I chose a Thule Force 3 medium. There is plenty of room to accommodate that box without really hanging over the windshield and it clears the antenna pretty well. Plenty of room to open the liftgate with extra clearance. There is also clearance underneath the crossbars to either tilt or fully open the sunroof. Would have given five stars if the rent a rack website loaded the vehicle specific instructions with specifications as it should have.
