Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valtera RV waste valve. This valve adds or replaces a 2 inch waste valve on your RV. It's going to feature a 2 inch blade X valve. It's made from a durable black plastic construction. It's going to feature a spigot connection on each end, or on each side. They're both going to measure the same.

If we can an inner diameter measurement, you'll see that that measurement is 2 inches, outer diameter is around 2 3/8 of an inch. Really nice design. It's going to feature a black T handle, here on top, which is going to allow for nice, easy, smooth operation. Just pull it to open the valve, and then close it, or push it back down to close the valve. The unit also features the appropriate seals to offer inaudible 00:00:45 performance.

A few measurements to go over with you real quick. Overall measurement going this direction, with the handle in the closed position, is going to be about 7 3/4 of an inch. If we open it all the way up, take that same measurement, it's going to measure closer to 10 1/2 inches. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valtera RV waste valve.

I couldn’t find this valve anywhere but e-trailer, and they had one readily available and at a reasonable price. Came within a few short days with a tracking number so I wasn’t wondering where is was. The valve it self is medium duty but does the job well on my portable waste tank for my RV. So far, I would highly recommend this product and e-trailer!

On arrival the blad had a defect. Did not make the valve not seal but will over time cause the seal to wear out prematurely.

I purchased 4 gate valves for a home-made pond filter system (the MK-2 from England). They have worked as advertised. I have had to re-apply some additional rubber caulking due to a tiny leak (not due to the gate valve). Otherwise, no complaint. If I've ever the need, I'll probably look to this gate valve again in future.

I had to replace approximately 24 inches of pipe, elbows, and blade valve. It took me awhile to find out that ABS pipe is measured Inside Diameter, and I didn't want to cut the pipe until I was absolutely sure. Once I was sure, it all went in well. I used a flexible straight connector to put it in place, and that solved many problems. Attached is a photo of my finished assembly. By the way, that "liquid sealant" sold in stores is Worthless!

Last November I purchased a drain valve from etailer. I recently got around to installing it on my 2018 Montana High Country fifth wheel camper. The valve shut offs are operated by (throttle) cable. These valves do not always close completely. I chose to install the valve at the outlet just in case the cable valves don't completely close. Attached is a before and after picture.

We have a unusual application for these valves. We use them to empty the water out of sample drawers that we use to bring up deep sea animals and rock samples etc.. The drawer in the photo holds 50 gallons of sea water. Once the samples are removed, we need to empty the internal water as quickly as possible. These valves when open empty the 50 gal in minutes. The low profile design helps save valuable space. The sample drawers are mounted on robotic submarines capable of diving several thousands of meters deep.

Inner and Outer Diameter of Fittings on Valterra Bladex Waste Valve # T1002A
The two things you mentioned refer to the wall thickness of PVC. So to answer that question the # T1002A that you referenced has an inner diameter of 2 inches and an outer diameter of 2-3/8 inches on both sides. For more info check out the review video I attached for this as well.

Hi Mandi, It sounds like you need the Valterra Bladex Waste Valve for RV Holding Tank - 2" Diameter - Spigot to Spigot part # T1002A. The "spigot" connection is the threaded male connection you're needing, so the spigot-to-spigot is the correct connection for you. It's 2" in diameter passage allows wastewater to travel freely when valve is open and the 2" spigots slide into two separate sewer pipes. Are you replacing a factory valve or a current Bladex valve?
