Propane leaves the cylinder at far more pressure than a low-pressure cooker or other portable appliance uses. This single-stage regulator reduces that incoming pressure to 11" WC so compatible equipment receives propane at the pressure it was designed to use. Its 140,000-Btu capacity supports small portable applications and outdoor cooking equipment within that demand.
This is a single-stage regulator for portable low-pressure equipment, not an RV propane-system regulator. MEC states that single-stage regulators do not meet NFPA 1192 requirements for use on recreational vehicles.
