Video Transcript for Prest-O-Fit Outrigger Exterior RV Step Rug: The Breakdown

Hey, everybody. Jared from etrailer.com. Today we'll take a quick look at the outrigger exterior straight RV step cover in atlantic blue by Prest-O-Fit. This is for one straight step cover that is a decent size, 23 inch width by eight to 11 inch depth. It's a heavy-duty outdoor carpet step rug which wraps around your straight RV steps. It's going to give you a place to wipe your dirt, mud, grass, and other debris off of your feet.

It does have a micro ribbed texture with increased traction. So you can climb in and out of your RV without fear of slipping. It is easy to clean. You just hose them off, allow it to air dry and you're good to go. The solid design is going to cover the gaps and holes and steps.

And you might have a pet that has some uneasiness with stairs because stairs are made of metal. And sometimes pets do not like the way their paws feel or the sound that it makes when their nails touch the metal surface. And also sometimes the steps have gaps in them. And perhaps it bothers your pet when they can see through them. Well, this would be a good way to cover those holes and gaps while creating a firm surface to use your pets concerns.

We take a look at the rug itself. It is that atlantic blue color, a big fan of it. It's a bit bold for some people's tastes, I can imagine, but if you like this color I'm sure it'd be very, very nice for you. It does have that micro ribbed texture and it feels good on my hands. Perhaps it'll feel good on your feet if you walk around your RV site with bare feet.

But other than that, I think it looks pretty sharp, right That's what it looks like when it's sitting on your steps. Let's flip it around and see how it's fastened. You can see the grommet holes right off the bat. This would be the front, that would be underneath here, the backside. And there is multiple here because as you remember we did talk about the idea that this does accommodate eight to 11 inch steps. What we have here is our plat or zinc plated springs and they are rust resistant. And we'll go ahead and push it in there real quick and show you that there's a decent amount of spring tension here. I'm not worried about it breaking off or any issues with these springs. Let's go ahead and open it up. Take a look. You're going to notice right off the bat there is a texture change. This is a synthetic harder rubberized firmer material underneath. And there's no doubt in my mind is going to help with that UV mold and mildew resistant properties of these steps and what they're known for. Let's shut that cover in, flip it around, take a look one more time. And this might necessarily not necessarily be the color for you, perhaps you don't like this bold of a color.
