The cord is flexible and seems of good solid quality. It was a dead fit replacement for my 9 year old cord. Thank you for the quick response and followup

Regretfully the the cord rubber sheathing at the male side has pulled loose and exposed the individual wires. I am so cautious and so wanted this cord to last longer. It did not? J T

Emily was awesome to deal with. She knew we were in a time crunch and got right on getting our order processed and shipped right put. We received our order in exactly the time frame she gave us. Emily was very pleasant and professional and I will definitely purchase again from E-Trailer because of my experience with Emily.

First, let me say how thrilled I was about the FAST shipment. Then let me tell you how pleased I am with the quality of this cord. I'm using it to connect my generator to the inlet connector of my house transfer switch. I keep the generator and 20 gallon propane tank in a dedicated shed 20' from the house, so I wanted this extra long cord to go the distance without any added tension. The pic has the black cord in the shadows, so hard to see, but the female connector stands out!

Great! Ive had to fire up the generator several times over the year, using your power supply cord, and everything has worked great!

Quality products, great communication

by:

I bought this product after reading a review in the May 2019 edition of Motorhome magazine. I was looking for a 50 amp power cord that would not get stiff in cold weather and would be easy to roll up and store when not in use. The power cord that came with my 2016 Thor Windsport 35c is almost impossible to roll up for storage in temps below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Unfortunately I'll have to wait several more months to see how flexible it is in colder weather but compared to my current power cord, the Mighty Cord coils into a much tighter coil, making it easier to store, giving me a little more space in the compartment in which it is stored.

by:

Well I just got it just plugged it in we'll see what happens it's just the right length thank you very much

by:

Fast shipping. Works perfectly.

by:

Exactly as advertised. Great product, price and performance!

Have used product extensively since purchase. Could not be happier. Performs same as new.

by:

I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THE RUBBER SLEEVE HAD SHRUNK approximately 2" AND EXPOSED THE COLORED CABLES JUST BEHIND THE PLUG END. I taped it to prevent any chafing before it could occur.

by:

Exactly what I was looking for tonise for my trailer. Good length, great construction.

by:

Works great for shore power to my tool trailer. I love being able to have 240 anywhere I can plug in.

by:

by:

This power cord seems way more flexible than the original one that came with our trailer. I found out the original one was ony good for 35 miles after forgetting to unplug it early one morning. Lol.

by:

It worked perfectly and fit into my power box. Your communication and shipping speed were great!

by:

Haven't used the power cord yet since it just arrived. Looks as though it is a direct replacement for the old one except that it is more flexible and should be easier to roll up and carry around. I do wish that the male end had a handle of some sort so that these old hands could grip it better when unplugging it from the post

by:

Easy ordering and fast delivery.

by:

Just picked up new shore power cord. I like the weight, hooked up perfectly. Really satisfied with the service. Ordered on Monday got it Thursday. Will use them for future items.

by:

Very pleased with quality of 50 amp cord. Think I’m going to start using etrailer for all my rv and trailer needs.

by:

We've used the Power Cord several times and it wworks well-no complaints.

by:

Nice heavy cord as expected. Perfect replacement. Always enjoy doing business with etrailer.com!

by:

I have ordered from this store twice now and will continue as needed. The follow up by their staff is unheard of these days. I will definitely recommend etrailer to my RV friends.

  • Replacement Shore Power Cord for Coachmen Chaparral Fifth Wheel
If you're referring to the shore power cord which is the cable that goes from the trailer to the power pedestal at the park to provide power inside the trailer for using lights and running appliances then you have a few options. I recommend the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord part # A10-3025EDBK for 30 amp or part # A10-5036EDBK for 50 amp services. The twist lock connection attaches to the power inlet on the trailer and the male plug then plugs into the power pedestal at the RV park.

  • Would Mighty Cord Detachable RV Power Cord # A10-5036EDBK be Too Stiff to Roll Up Easily
For the size of the cable on the Mighty Cord Detachable RV Power Cord # A10-5036EDBK I would not describe it as overly stiff at all. It comes to us wrapped up in a pretty small rolled up shape too. I've handled different versions of this cord and didn't think it was too stiff to roll up at all. It's pretty heavy at 24 lbs but not stiff. Our customers have not reported back any issues with stiffness either.

  • Can You Replace Just the Plug On a 50 Amp RV Power When Wires Are Showing
The sleeve or sheathing is part of the cord, not the plug so even if you were to just replace the plug using something like the Mighty Cord Replacement Hardwire RV Plug part # A10-P50VP you would still have exposed wires. Therefore, it would be best if you replace the entire power cord using the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord part # A10-5036EDBK which will offer much better protection as a sealed unit.

  • Weight of the Epicord RV Power Cord with Handle # 277-000155
The Mighty Cord RV Power Cord with Handle # A10-5036EDBK that you referenced weighs about 24 lbs. I am not sure how small it will coil though as that is not a standard feature that is measured on power cords like this. I can say that you need to make sure not to force the cord when coiling it for storage as that could very well cause some damage. Attached is a review video for you to check out.

  • Best Power Cord for a 2017 Forest River Sandpiper Fifth Wheel
It looks like your 2017 Forest River Sandpiper Fifth Wheel does in fact have a 50 Amp plugins, so both the Mighty Cord Detachable, part # A10-5036EDBK, and the Mighty Cord Power Cord with Handle, part # A10-5025ED, will work for you. I recommend going with the # A10-5025ED since the handle and 90-degree plug reduce wear on the cord and prongs, helping extend the life of the cord. I've linked to a video review of this one. Also, it's a good idea to get a conversion cord like part # CAM55185...

  • Recommended Storage Bag For An RV Power Cord
The only storage bag we currently carry that will fit the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord # A10-5036EDBK is going to be the Bulldog Winch Camo Mesh Duffle Storage Bag # BDW20388. We also offer the MORryde Manual Storage Reel # MR47RR, which you could mount in your cargo bay to easy extend or retract your power cord. I've attached a short video below where you can see exactly how this reel works.

  • Is The Mighty Cord RV Power Plug Considered Stiff Or Difficult To Roll Up
The Mighty Cord RV Power Cord # A10-5036EDBK is not stiff or hard to roll up, and our customers have never reported this as being difficult to roll up. The Mighty Cord is mildly heavy, however, weighing in at 24 pounds. I would recommend the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord # A10-5036EDBK over the Epicord RV Power Cord with Handle - 50 Amp Male Plug # 277-000154 which is no longer available, due to the exposed pigtail on one end; but, both products are similar and rated for 50 Amps.

  • Recommended RV Panel to Upgrade from 30 Amp to 50 Amp Service
It's pretty easy to pick out a new panel for a higher rated service, you just need to make sure you get the charge converter size correct. I recommend going with the same size that came with the trailer or was integrated into your old panel since this has more to do with load rather than the supply. That said, if you intend to upgrade your appliances you can go with a higher rated option. The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center part # PD4560K18LS8 is a good option for a 50 amp...

  • What Parts Are Needed To Install a Shore Power Circuit On a Trailer
I do have some of the components that you will need to set your trailer up for a shore power circuit but if install cost is all you are looking for then you would be best off talking with a qualified service center as this is not something we partake in. The primary factor will be the shop's labor rate and that can very drastically so it would be best if you call around for this beforehand. In order to install a shore power circuit you are going to need a transfer switch, power inlet,...
