The D-spud outlet lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. To divert the flow of water to the shower set, simply lift the diverter pin on the faucet up.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new faucet and deck plate in place of your existing faucet. Hand-tighten the included hardware against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Phoenix Faucets four inch dual handle RV tub shower diverter faucet. This unit's going to add or replace a tub shower diverter faucet in your RV. It's going to feature the dual acrylic lever handles. It gives the unit a really nice look. It's going to feature the quarter turn design, and they have the H and C on there to act as indicators for hot and cold water functions. The hand held shower is not included but it does have the D-Spud outlet on top for attaching the hand held shower.
Those showers are sold separately. That's basically just a hose and a shower head. They can be found right here at etrailer dot com. When you're ready to use the shower, all you have to do is lift up on the spout lift rod to divert water flow from the tub spout to the shower head. Back flow prevention is obtained by an installed air gap. The air gap is going to act as a back flow preventer, which is going to help prevent contamination of your fresh water supply.
The base of the unit is made from a durable plastic construction, and as you can see, it's going to feature a really good looking chrome finish. The mounting area is going to require two holes for your installation. These are going to be the connection points for the hot and cold water lines. They're separated on center by right around four inches. They're going to give us a length measurement at around an inch and a half. Measuring the base height, we're looking at about two and one eighth.
Measuring edge to edge, it's going to give us a measurement of about six and one quarter inches, and then from the back of the base to the furthest out point of the unit, we're looking at a measurement of around five inches. The connection points right here, these are going to have an outer diameter of thirteen sixteenths of an inch, with an inner diameter of a half inch. The shower hose connector, the D-Spud connector's going to have an outer diameter of thirteen sixteenths of an inch. Overall it's just a really nice design. Pretty simple installation. It does come with the mounting nuts as well as a vacuum plate, and it's going to come with your detailed installation instructions.
In the instructions, it's going to walk you through the installation process step by step. Again, it's going to require two holes for your installation. Those need to have a diameter of one inch, and then it does put in a specific note here in relation to that air gap that I was mentioning earlier for back flow prevention. It says that the outlet of the tub spout must be installed a minimum of two inches above the flood rim of the tub. It's going to walk you through how to get it installed, how to get everything connected. On this side, it's going to go over some operating instructions and just some helpful tips, and on the back side, it does have a detailed breakdown of the parts list. Extremely fast shipping, fair price, seems like a good product
The thing is a piece of trash, the diverter valve has leaked from the very start which lets most of the hot water to leak right to the drain when taking a shower. I should of bought something else, but now just stuck with this that has never worked from the get go correctly.

I installed the new faucet and within 6mths the hot water side started stripping out. You have to put front pressure on it to get it to turn on or off.
The Phoenix faucet i bought from etrailer was a perfect fit in my 2001 Coleman Fleetwood popup camper.Easy install. Customer service is excellent. The quality of the faucet is great for the price.
Really the faucet was installed last May. The RV has not had water to it. So have never tested the faucet. It was part of on going refurbishing of a 22 year old Class B+ RV that I bought a year ago. Also part of this work we've ordered and installed from e-trailer your Dometic 310 toilet, a MaxAir Fan, & other items all installed but some untested. The fan works great. The toilet seems to as we made sure the black and grey tanks were cleaned out well by pouring water down the drains and toilet. We will repeat this spring when it comes out of winter storage. The fresh water tank was removed to repair water damage below it and in the wall it blocked both. We also had to sanitize the tank due to mold entering it where previous owners allowed the air intake hose to flap about un-attached causing the leaks and water damage to the floor. We know the Ford Engine is in decent condition but due to so much unexpected work we are behind a good year getting Miss Mini Mo on the road and fully activated. She's come a long ways & with your help with parts like this. Which btw was almost identical to the one removed. We'll treat her with far more respect than the previous owners have. Thanks e-trailer no doubt we'll be back for more STUFF once we bring her out of winter storage.
We recieved this product yesterday and just installed it. I cannot comment on its longevity due to that, but after using it, I gotta say it is a definite improvement to the factory install in our camper, both in looks AND function. Also, we upgraded our shower head to Oxygenics Body Spa and the brushed nickel of this faucet matches the brushed nickel shower head PERFECTLY! Very happy with this.

I love, love, love the look of this shower faucet. You need to buy a separate shower head and hose kit. It really updates the look of our shower! It did take some work to install and a trip to a local RV store, but looks amazing and works great!
It is a lot easier to use if you have arthritic hands as I do. Works great.
I originally bought a cheaper shower faucet from etrailer, but it was so unbelievably cheesy that I sent it back and bought this one. This has a brass valve body instead of plastic like the first one. I reversed the valve caps (hot and cold) so I could point the hose bib down which worked better for my setup. The valves are kind of rubbery feeling instead of a solid shutoff but it works.

It's beautiful and is a good quality plastic. It's hard to tell it's not "real" chrome! I love Phoenix brand a lot. Nice sink & shower upgrades to my rv so far!
Removed bathroom sink from 2018 R Pod model 171. Replaced original bathroom faucet with Phoenix shower diverter faucet. Plastic cover over hole where sink waste pipe went through wall was made from part of sink plastic surround. 3 pics: Two after pictures (note vent pipe opening covered). Before picture showing original sink.
It has not been installed yet but it got here on time (did NOT care at all for the way tracking was done, I never knew where it was). Plan on installing today.
