Hi, Im about to buy a 2017 Honda Odyssey, and the Thule website says their roof racks dont fit the Odyssey, but when I look on your site, you suggest foot pack #3101 will fit the Odyssey. Im wondering if this is accurate, given that Thule doesnt seem to endorse it. Thanks

If your 2017 Honda Odyssey has a naked roof (no existing rails or crossbars), then the Thule Roof Rack referenced in your question, which consists of parts # TH711420, # THTP42, # TH460R and # THKIT3101 will work. The Thule Top Track # THTP42 component of this system is a universal track that will permanently install on almost any SUV, Minivan or camper. This will basically provide a factory-like track system that can then be used to install the foot pack and crossbars for the roof rack.

With Honda Odysseys that have a naked roof, this is really the only option to install a roof rack. The Fit Kit # THKIT3101 is not compatible if mounting directly to the vehicle's roof and will only work if the track system is installed first. This is why the kit does not appear on Thule's website as a fit guided option.
