Question:
Jon. This is a continued reply to my earlier question re:the trac I mentioned in my last question. This request is for what part should I be looking for to mount my Pro cross bars on the Cab of my 2018 Toyota Tundra CrewMax. I’m. Planning in the future to add a rooftop tent and I need a base to attach it too? I need to make a decision and feel these rails I’ve posed to you may be too wide for my vehicle. could you please let me know if they are the ones being recommended for my truck or should I be looking at/for 2 skinnier rails to mount on the cab only of my vehicle. Thanks in advance and time is kind of important on your reply as I’m needing to let a buddy know if I’m considering these rails or other ones. Will these rails fit and allow me to move the rack system forward or back, wider or narrower please. If not, what do I need, please and thank you?

The Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-011 is a perfect option for your 2018 Toyota Tundra with the 8' bed and Deck Rail System. This installs via the stake pockets so your Deck Rail System won't be a factor when it comes to hardware installation.
One of my favorite things about the TracRac SR is that it's one of the only ladder racks that are compatible with some tonneau covers. If you end up wanting to add one in the future then I highly recommend going with the TruXedo Sentry CT # TX1546816 which combines the sleek look of a soft cover with the durability and security of a hard cover. When your tailgate is closed and locked someone would literally have to break into your truck bed to get at any cargo.
Attached are review videos of both the ladder rack and tonneau cover for you to check out.
