These adapters let you attach a Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbar to Rhino-Rack RLTP legs. The adapters provide a perfect crossbar-to-leg fit with no wobbling or gaps. The kit includes 2 precision-molded nylon adapters and all hardware necessary for installation.
The adapters provide a perfect mounting surface for a Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbar. Without the adapters, the grooves on top of the RLTP legs don't match those on the crossbar, resulting in an imperfect fit with a noticeable gap. With the adapters installed, the crossbar fits on the RLTP legs with no gap or wiggle room.
To install the adapters, slide an adapter block into the groove on top of each RLTP leg. Thread the 10-mm bolt through the square washer, leg, and adapter. Then thread the M6 nut onto the end of the bolt. Leave enough space between the M6 nut and the top of the adapter so that you can slide the M6 nut into the crossbar's bottom channel. Once the legs are positioned properly in the channel, simply tighten down each 10-mm bolt for sturdy, wobble-free mount.

I don’t have a problem, whatsoever, purchasing the required parts to make my installation complete. I contacted trailer with my concerns and never received a response.
The parts are great from Rhino Rack.
“The Vortex cross bars do not properly work with RL legs unless the RLTP Leg Adapters are used. This information should have been noted on my order before you shipped and I would have included. Now I have to delay install and pay shipping…….. I just ordered and won’t receive till next Tuesday.”
It actually took another 8 days to receive the required parts to complete my installation.
There should be a better process to identify non compatible parts and suggest alternatives whilst offering.
I think it just looks good first of all. I can carry my paddle boards and still use my one touch roof top.
These are what it took to make my Rhino gutter mount legs fit my Rhino aero bars.
Upon ordering all the roof bars & legs for my Ford E350, it wasn't mentioned that I would be needing these adaptors. Ultimately, etrailer helped me figure out what it takes.
Seems that replacing the 3/8" bolt with the 6mm bolt that these adaptors come with might be sketchy. Although these hard plastic plates have a boss that locates them well. I used anti-seize on all fasteners.
