Will the Rhino Rack Gutter Mounted Legs Work w/a Reconn-Deck Crossbars?

Updated 03/22/2026 | Published 03/20/2026

Question:

Hello, I have the Rhino-Rack RL110S5 Heavy Duty Gutter Mounted Feet for my hardtop Jeep Wrangler. My questions is for the new Reconn-Deck Crossbars, I like their additional c-channels for mounting and securing gear especially when used with the new ZWIFLOC fasteners. But I cant find if they mount to the feet that I have and if so, what adapters are needed to mount them. Does the RL leg adapter kit model RRVA-FK1 cover the attachment between my RL110S5 and the RR58FH RDB150 or is there another part you recommend? Thank You

Hey Chadd, thanks for the information. I checked with Rhino-Rack and your Rhino-Rack Roof Rack Legs item # RRRL110S5 will need the RLTP Leg Adapters item # RRVA-FK1 to work with the Rhino-Rack Reconn-Deck Crossbars like item # RR58FH.

You will need one set of the RLTP Leg Adapters item # RRVA-FK1 for each Reconn-Deck crossbar item # RR58FH.

What kind of gear do you plan on mounting to your new crossbars?

If you plan to use the Reconn Deck crossbars in the wind line (eg., on your roof), you’ll most likely want to install rubber channel strips in the upper and lower channel of the most forward crossbar. With open channels it can Mar some loud wind whistle. I run three Reconn Deck crossbars on top of my JK hardtop for a roof top tent, annoying wind whistle until I installed rubber strips in the upper and lower open channels on the foward crossbar - no more whistle. No noise from the second or third crossbars (wind line breaks up enough for those I guess with the tent installled - haven’t ran them naked so not sure what that would be like).
