Do I Need Crossbars to Install a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform on a 2010 Ford E-350?

Hi I have the Rhino Rack Platform 100inch x 62inch for my ford E350 2010 I have the RL 150mm legs and there are not enough reach/ What am I doing wrong? Do I need cross bars?

Hello John,
Welcome to etrailer, I'm glad you found us!
You are not doing anything wrong, and you do not need to add crossbars. The Pioneer Platform # RR82TB mounts directly to the legs on your 2010 Ford E-350.
The 150mm RL legs are also the correct height for your van. What you will want to check is whether you have the adapters that connect the RL legs to the Pioneer Platform. Our complete setup # RR82TB uses eight 150mm gutter-mount legs # RL150S10 along with eight # RRVA-FK1 adapters to make that connection.
If you already have the 150mm legs but they are not reaching the platform, my first thought is that those adapters are what you are missing.
Did you purchase the platform and legs separately, or did they originally come together as a kit?
