Hello, and welcome back to another video with me, Steven, here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this custom fit kit that's gonna let you mount four Rhino-Rack 2,500 series legs, which are sold separately. You can see a picture of them above my left shoulder there, so again, those are sold separately, that's what this kit here fits. So taking a look here, the part number is up on your screen for this particular kit, it's DK351. This is, again, a custom fit kit that's gonna allow you to mount four Rhino-Rack 2,500 series legs that are sold separately onto the roof of that naked roof vehicle. They are padded, they have metal clamps that provide a sheer grip to the door jams.
And again, they have that padding built in on the bottom here on all four of those. You're gonna get two long ones, two shorter ones, and you're gonna get four pads. Two of 'em have a certain shape to them, kind of contoured to fit the vehicle, and the other two have a different shape to them to fit the contour of the vehicle as well. So again, always check the instructions that are included as far as how to attach them, what they fit, you know, that kind of stuff. They are powder coated for very nice durability.
They're gonna help you resist rust and corrosion over time. And again, these are gonna mount onto your naked roof. They're gonna protect it, you don't have to worry about scratches and that kind of stuff. Now this particular kit is a custom fit guide. We always recommend you checking our fit guide, etrailer.com.
There's a fit guide in the very center of our website. You simply put in your year, make, and model and then you can select the roof rack kit according to your specific vehicle. That being said, this particular kit is made for the Toyota Prius C, the five door hatchback. The year starts at 2012 and current. So again, 2012 and current Toyota Prius C, five door hatchback.

The measurements listed for the inside trim strip were incorrect for my car, despite the model being listed on the spec sheet. I’ll have to guess at what it should be to get the other pieces to fit. What a massive disappointment and I regret purchasing this. I should have gone with a better brand.

Racks were trickier than anticipated to mount but customer service was super helpful and I am very pleased with how they have held up on my car!
I ordered this kit for my 2012 Prius C and it fit perfectly. It was easy to install, less than 30 min. and it is very secure. Also the price and shipping were great.
Installs nicely, helps make the small Prius C feel less small with a roof top carrier, and/or to carry lumber, canoes ect.

A bit of a wait on the phone. Your agent was super helpful. Got the rack on and went 100 miles with a kayak on board. All is good. Yakima and Thule could not fit my Prius. The Rhino fits great and even the mechanical “genius “ had no problem getting it installed.
Just got rack installed, was a bit of a challenge but finally got it all sorted it out. Seems to be what I needed. Have not had time to do the real test yet, but the Rhino-Rack 2500 series seems to fit solid on the Prius C. The real test will come when we head down the Alaska Highway in a couple weeks.
This is a great product but one down side to this product is that, either the instructions are very difficult to understand, or the measurements for the strips on the instruction page was all wrong. I had to customize the length of the strips for about an hour just so the roof rack would be in the perfect position. Im super happy with this product however. Delivery was right on time which was great because it was free shipping as well.
Was skeptical about Rhino Racks as I hadnt heard of them and given other brands (thule/yakima) stated they wouldn't work for my 2016 Toyota Prius C. It works great, so excited to have my bike and storage available in a compact car. Thanks!!!
Has been installed for roughly a year on my 2015 Prius C, including for a cross-country road trip with cargo strapped to the rack. Excellent lock-up and minimal road noise. Would recommend.
Had this on my Prius C for about 2 years, it carried couches, bed frames, mattresses, etc. Handled over 100mph during those open interstate stretches. And just made the car look that much more useful.
Last minute purchase of bars and basket - excellent pick! etrailer came through with expedited delivery and the install was just per the instructions. It can be tricky but the paperwork was complete, the descriptions accurate and no pieces left over; always a plus.
The rack and basket are VERY sturdy, it is all very well made; my only concern would be the L-shaped clamps that hook to the door frame. I think the tension down will keep them in place but it would certainly be the one part of the system to check regularly.

The rack has worked well, the only thing I would change are the crossbars. The small rectangular bars do not hold surfboard rack padding well and they spin and move around. I've had to glue on wood strips to the crossbars to prevent the pads from spinning. Otherwise they worked. I've purchased another brand aero bar rack for another vehicle from etrailer and they are perfect.
I put it off for the longest time, but I finally bought a Rhino Rack and self-installed it on my car. I have since been kayaking a lot!! I don’t know why I was so reluctant to do it myself. I have to give credit to Shannon from etrailer, who was very helpful and informative and offered to assist over the phone if I needed help (but I didn’t need any help). All the parts were included, the instructions were clear, and it was easy to install.

I have a Toyota Prius C and I love how it looks with the Rhino Rack roof rack :D Here in Los Ángeles California I see so many cars with roof rack and I decided to buy one for my car and it looks Beautiful, it gives Style and I can not wait to put my bike and my Surfboard on it :D Thank You etrailer :D
Easy assembly and installation. Pay careful attention to pad direction as shown in instruction sheet for the fit kit. One gripe: one end-cap refuses to lock (blue plastic key lock). Had to tape it on so I don’t lose it.
Great fit kit for our 2013 Prius C. It took us several hours to figure out how to install because apparently we both didn’t read the instructions as good as we thought. My recommendation is READ the instructions first, don’t try to figure it out like we did. Once we thoroughly read the instructions the installation had no issues. We did watch a YouTube video so when we finally found the measurements we were only off an inch. We are happy to be able to have more room on our cross country road this July. The racks are quality and the fit kit easy. The cost is a little high for what you get but that’s on rhino rack not etrailer. We are very happy with our purchase. I will adjust my review later on if anything changes.

You aren't the only ones who have just jumped in without reading first. That's basically a way of life for me, too. Ready, fire, aim, haha! So glad you got it done and now have that much more room for storage! Where will you be headed in July??
