Evangeline: Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer.com and today we are looking at a Inno roof rack kit with flush fit here on our 2020 Subaru Forester. This is a great roof rack kit if you are looking for something that is easy to install, as well as will allow you to carry accessories on your roof rack, like your bike racks, your cargo boxes, really everything that can go around the roof rack or can be installed to these T-tracks right over here. There are some different styles of roof racks, and what we have here is the flush fit style. So you can see here how it ends right at this end and that's an interesting design. I like it because it gives that sleek low profile almost from the factory look.
Now others do prefer styles that have a little bit of an overhang because that gives them a little bit more bar space. So it really depends on what you are looking for. This has a max weight capacity of 165 pounds, but please note that if your roof weight capacity is lower than that, follow your roof weight capacity. For clearance, if you're interested in those measurements, we have it from the top of our roof to the bottom of the bar at four inches and to the top of the bar at five and a quarter inches. For the raised side rails on our Forester, this was a very easy installation. So let's take a look at exactly how we installed it. So I already installed our rear crossbars over there so that we can install the front one together. Now you will have two different crossbars of different widths.
We have there the 41 inch one, and this here is our 39 inch crossbar. Now our first step here is to adjust our crossbar so we have this tray that slides. Now, if you have it all the way out, you may need to press this piece in so that you can slide through all the way till the end, so that you have an open space inside. Now you will get your foot pack and you can see here how these have tabs that will go into your crossbar. So these need to go underneath, like that. Make sure you have the right and the left foot pack on the correct side.
So we have here the right foot pack, that will go on the right side. So just put it upside down, just get that into place and then slide it out. So you know it's attached when you can't slide it out like that. All right. We did the same thing on the left side as well.
So we are ready to attach our crossbars. So before attaching just to make sure it's facing the right way. You want the wider end of the crossbar facing the front. Also make sure this is right, and this is left. Now you can put it up there by yourself. It is helpful to have another set of hands, but the way this is made is that it should stay in place enough for you to push it over to that end and get it on this end.All right, So I have it where it's sitting in the middle of our space for our race rails is really up to you where you want to place it as long as it's within 19 and five, eight inches, minimum and 45, eight inches maximum. Before I tighten them down, I'm going to measure it up just to make sure that they're evenly spaced. And what I do is I measure from the middle of our strap, right Where that line is, and I want it at 23 inches apart. So we'll bring this up there. So from middle to middle, we'll have it at 23 and then just do the same on the other side so that you know it's level. When you're ready to tighten it down, what you need to do is attach the strap. So this comes up into that ledge and then you tighten it down by turning this knob. So turn it to the right and that will bring that strap in. I also recommend maybe strapping it down a little bit on this side, tightening it on the other side, and then coming back here, just so that you know it's tightened down evenly.Once you can't turn it anymore, then just bring it down. Once you have both sides tightened down, you can then put the locking end cap on top of it. So your end caps are going to say either right or left. So we're on the right side, make sure this also says right. And then you just slide that on top of it. You use your included keys and then you can lock it into place just like that. So you can see that was a very quick and easy install. I really liked how that all worked out. It was just something to put together and pop on top of our roof. And that was a look at our Inno roof rack kit for our 2020 Subaru Forester..

Thank you for your review. I took a look at the installation instructions for the fit kit and the gap between the hook and rain gutter is normal.

I dont know what I was worried about 1 year ago. This rack and cross bars are awesome. Quiet, stylish, easy to set up. Theyre easy on and easy off. Less than 10 minutes if I do it by myself, even faster with a helper. Id buy more from Innovation and e-trailer in a heart beat. Great customer service and responsive as all get out.

Thank you for your review. It is a good idea to make sure the rubber stripping is firmly pressed into the channels to prevent wind noise. We also do not recommend having the sun roof open to avoid damage to the bars and to prevent extremely loud wind noise.

That sounds like one epic trip you two had! I can only imagine the memories you made together. Was this your first time doing a trip like this?

The bars look great on your Expedition, Donnie! What are you going to be carrying on the roof?

The racks are working as expected, bikes and Thule box in the summer and ski holders in the winter
