The Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Ladder Rack - 72" Track Mount - 78" Crossbars - 500 lbs is built for hauling serious gear on and off the road. It’s rated for 500 lbs on-road and 300 lbs off-road, so you can load up ladders, lumber, kayaks, or camping gear without worry. The 78" crossbars and 72" tracks give you a wide, stable platform, while the sturdy aluminum construction with a black powder coat resists rust even after long days in the elements.
When you need flexibility for different loads, this rack adjusts from 19" to 30" above the tracks to fit your cargo. You can raise it for tall gear like rooftop tents or lower it to cut down on drag. The etched measurements on the uprights and crossbars make it easy to dial in the right height and center everything just right for balance and clearance.
The uprights and crossbars include T-slots inside and out so you can mount tie-downs, eye bolts, paddle holders, load stops, bike racks, or off-road lights exactly where you want them. Rubberized strips in the crossbars’ top channels help cut wind noise and keep everything snug. You can even add SideBar rails (sold separately) for extra accessory space when you’re carrying more gear.
The rack mounts to 72" tracks that secure to truck bed rails, camper shells, gear trailers, and other flat surfaces. Once the tracks are in place, the QuickChange system makes it easy to install or remove the rack in minutes. BedGrip clamps hold tight on most common truck beds, and the included mounting hardware and endcaps give everything a clean, finished look.
The Same Key System (SKS) lock cores secure the uprights so your rack stays put. You can swap out the SKS cores to match other Yakima gear, keeping everything keyed alike. Built-in tie-down points on the uprights and crossbar endcaps make it simple to strap gear down, and the signature built-in bottle openers give you a handy way to relax after the job or the ride is done.

60" bars wo u ld have worked no one new but as you can see there was plenty of room instead of 68" tell people it's to much money shipping
We are thrilled with how this turned out. Finally got the conversion kit needed for the tslots on my Retrax cover. Just returned from our second trip with the setup today. Works flawlessly...I would definitely recommend it.
We've had a few different ladder racks on our work trucks over the years but without hesitation, this is by far the best yet. You can tell from right out the box, this rack is made to last. Not overly difficult to install, took me a little less than an hour. Again, I can't be more impressed with Yakima's ladder rack and while it might be a bit more pricey than some other racks on the market, it's well worth the extra money when you use it everyday like we do.
I have a 2023 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. I saw a eTrailer video about installing this on the truck. I then emailed the support folks and asked about install and the link to the Adapter kit for the Frontier Utili-trac rails. The etrailer person said that this cannot be mounted on the Frontier and posted this answer somewhere. Ignoring the response, I ordered the Overhaul HD, 68" bars and the Adapter kit. It installed just fine (had to take my time lining up the Utili-trac bed rail adapters. This is a very sturdy and well made Yakima product, as it should be for the cost! Very happy with this product.
This is a very sturdy and good looking truck rack. I set mine up for recreational use with bike and kayak racks I also installed a Decked storage system.

Very happy this product so far. The adapter kit worked great to mount them on my retrax bed cover. I have been hauling up to 2 kayaks and a rod rack on them and they work great. Very solid and they are the best looking racks I have seen on the road.
The rack arrived fast in three separate boxes (base,Tacoma kit, and crossbars). The box with the cross bars was a little dinged up, but everything inside was fine. Items were packaged very nice and organized.
Seeing it up wasn't too bad. I took care of the Tacoma adapter one evening and the rest the following evening. The only tricky part was getting the cross bars aligned and attached. That part would definitely be easier with an extra set of hands or clamps. And then getting the screws in closest to the post was a bit of a bear. I'm sure there are more mechanically inclined people who would have gotten it 1,2,3.
Putting the Tacoma kit on was SUPER EASY courtey of watching the instructional video a couple of times! Such a fine feature on this site! Thank you for that!
I also needed to go over which base went where. There was a small illustration that showed which one sent where. Only to a minute to figure out out, but maybe labeling each one and having a diagram in the instructions would facilitate that part.
Overall, not a tricky installation by any means. And they look GREAT!!! Love the powder coat paint and the style! I'm really happy with them!
Great rack system able to lower them to go through car washes or even take it off when hauling bigger things in the truck bed. Works great with bed cover. I use it for everything. No permit drilling and really structurally solid. I have hauled beams of wood which I had to raise them higher then the roof of truck , kayaks, ladders, etc.
2019 Tacoma 5’6” (had factory tri-fold, had to take off the rail pegs for that). Requires the extra track mounting kit #1 (got from Yakima). Very sturdy rack! Simple install, haven’t noticed any wind noise, even at over 75mph and with bars up high. Used 60” HD bars (very nice). Bought for frequent hauling of long/heavier kayaks. Not much steel to rust from the winter salt here. Will probably switch back to tri-fold cover for winters, wish there was an affordable cover option that worked with this.

Works seamlessly with the retrax rollup cover and not too hard to install. Adjusting the height takes a little bit of work but that is only done on a very limited basis. Allows me to carry my kayaks, a cargo box if I need extra space or paddles & fishing rods so they don't get damaged by closing the tailgate on them.
The rack is great. Simple to install, extremely sturdy & very well designed. I drove it to Cars & Coffee yesterday & someone asked me what I needed to haul or if I merely installed them "because they look cool."

I would suggest selling the rack specific for Retrax bed cover. The amount of hardware left over when you add the adapter kit to the standard rack seems really excessive. Rather than be $169 add, it should be a deduct of at least that much.

The Yakima OverHaul HD appears to be very well made and is very sturdy.
Installation was relatively straight forward. The racks fit well on my 2024 Ford Maverick. I look forward to years of use.
So far I have only been able to start the set up on my Tundra and have not actually loaded anything on the rack yet (still in between seasons in northern Maine). I will say everything arrived in a timely manner and the adapter kit for the tundra utility track fits well…solid anchor for the rack system. Excited to start using it with both large canoes(120 lbs each) and 4 bike racks when not using canoes. I am so far impressed with e-trailer as well. They honored a price from 4 months ago when I actually put the rack in my shopping cart. Because of indecision, I didn’t actually order the item until end of March and noticed the price has gone up. E-trailer sold the item for the earlier price…integrity. I will buy products from them again and tell others about my experience.
I purchased this ladder rack to primarily be a kayak hauler, but also to transport oversized materials, like lumber that doesn't fit well in the cargo bed. What I like best about it is that Yakima makes a kit to mount the rack directly on the T-slot rails on my Roll-n-Lock XT Retractable Tonnaeu Cover. I can mount or dismount the rack in about 10 minutes by myself as needed (a little easier with a helper). The build quality is excellent and is a very solid rack. It offers plenty of anchor points, plus T-slots on the top and bottom of the crossbars. There's some wind noise at higher speeds, but not to terrible. I highly recommend thus product, and is worth the money, especially if you invested in the Roll-n-Lock XT or Retrax XR Retractable Tonnaeu Covers.
