The OutPost HD is made for serious hauling. It carries up to 500 lbs on-road and 300 lbs off-road, so you can load it up with ladders, lumber, or a rooftop tent without worry. This rack was tested on rough terrain and in the lab to ensure it surpasses ISO standards for swerving, bumps, and emergency stops. It’s the same rugged build you want when you’re far from pavement and need your gear to stay put.
At 13" above the bed rails, the mid-height uprights lift gear above the bed while keeping everything easy to reach. The low center of gravity makes it stable when loaded, and the fixed design keeps things solid even on rough roads. It’s the kind of setup that lets you grab your gear fast without climbing or stretching.
The 78" crossbars have channels on both the inside and outside so you can mount accessories exactly where you want them. Add eye bolts, lights, or paddle holders in the side channels, or clamp on bike racks, kayak carriers, or cargo boxes up top. Rubberized strips in the top channels cut down on wind noise and drag. Etched measurements on the bars make centering the rack simple.
Installation is simple and tool-light. The QuickChange system lets you mount or remove the rack in minutes. Track adapters slide right into your utility tracks, and BedGrip clamps hold tight to common truck bed rails—no drilling needed. You can even move the front uprights back about 12" along the rails when you need extra space for tall or bulky cargo.
The sturdy aluminum build is strong yet rustproof, and the black powder coat adds another layer of protection against wear. Built-in tie-down points make it easy to secure gear, and Same Key System lock cores keep the rack locked in place. Even the small touches—like the signature bottle openers—show that it’s made for real-world use from jobsite workdays to long trail weekends.

Rack system works very good. Easy to take off and on my F150. Wish it was more adjustable to lower the system a few inches. Also because of the bed formation cannot place anywhere on the bed. Overall it is stable and rides well

The products durability is great. Find the right height for my truck was more challenging. I wish I had not gotten this particular product. Doesn’t go above my truck bed cab.

Great rack system for tonneau cover with rail system. Easy install and very well made, the only down side is when you order the system for the tonneau cover you also get all the hardware for non tonneau cover trucks. Excessive amount of expensive hardware you’ll never use with your tonneau cover installed
After researching many truck racks I decided to purchase this one. The staff at etrailer were very helpful and friendly . The product arrived on schedule with no problems. The installation was fairly easy straightforward. I must say that I made the right decision in choosing this product as the quality is very good. Once I got it installed it was rock solid. The following week I made a 600 plus miles trip to the mountains with a Thule cargo box installed on it and had zero problems. I would check it whenever I stopped to make sure it was still secure and it remained rock solid with no issues. I am very satisfied with this Yakima rack and would highly recommended it. I also recommend etrailer for doing business with. They followed up with me on my purchase to see if I was satisfied or had any problems. I will do business with them again!
