This king pin lock has a disc tumbler locking mechanism. Unlike locks that use vulnerable spring-loaded pins, this ultra-secure lock is bump-proof. The cylinder has a series of rotating discs that can be correctly lined up only when you turn the corresponding key. Two identical notched keys are included to operate the lock. Because these keys feature 1 of nearly a million possible key codes, it's extremely unlikely that another individual will have a key that can open this lock.

I store my fifth wheel and this lock is very heavy duty. Nothing is 100% effective but this lock is very hard to tamper with compared to others.
Fit very well. Just had a little problem with the key # and key code. Doesn't designate which is which. Also, the warranty did not have my product listed on drop down list. But other than warranty registration all is great. Customer service was prompt and attentive.. amp lock received before expected delivery date.
The kingpin lock is doing fine. I don't use my 53ft dry van much now, but I am comfortable knowing that the lock is in place, working, preventing an easily stole trailer. Thanks.
I love this. It is definitely made for the Pullrite and the capture plate. Nice fit and it looks great instead of those gaudy yellow locks. This makes me feel as though my trailer is nice and secure too.
The lock is rock solid. I'm glad I purchased the lock for my 5th wheel RV trailer. Some of the locks out there a cheep. Not this one. You get what you pay for and this one does The job .
Happy with this product! Although a couple week delay from the factory I was kept in the loop via email. This product is solid, clean and heavy duty. Although I know this is only a deterrent, I believe this product is superior than others on the market!
So far, it's been great, I've had it for about a year. No attempts of theft. If you use a lube plate, you'll need to remove it to install the lock.
Fits perfectly. Expensive but protects theft of our rolling home.

Great lock! Your rv will be safe from thieves with this on your 5th wheel. It is VERY heavy and well made. Sometimes you have to hold your mouth just right when taking on and off,

Securely locks my kingpin. Heavy metal gives me that extra confidence when I leave my 5th wheel at the storage place and at campgrounds.

I’ve been using this for a year now and still going strong. The lock works well and gives me confidence to leave my trailer wherever I need to.
AMPLock offers a 15% discount on your first purchase but not free shipping. I personally like using eTrailer as they have been dependable over time, plus I usually qualify for prompt free shipping. eTrailer packaging and shipping is very professional.
This is my second Amplock and this one is a winner too. There's no way it's coming off without a fight. The lock spins like glass and only way the pin won't come out is if the little weather door gets in the way. You won't have to touch the grease and it isn't showing any rust at all.

The locking mechanism leaves a little to be desired when unlocking. Locking is easy but unlocking is a struggle. For the price I expected a better quality of locking mechanism as far as ease of use
