What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com Today we're gonna be checkin out this Molle accessory grid for your trail kitchen that you have installed in your Jeep. It's gonna attach right here to the existing holes and now you can mount a bunch of different accessories to the grid on the back. Let's check it out. Today, we're usin this Rotopax water jug mount, you can see it here and it's already got the existing holes, here, to attach this to the grid. So you'll attach this part, then you can put your water jug on there and keep it there for storage. And even with this, here in the middle, there's plenty of these slots here on both sides to attach other Molle accessories.
The grid also acts like a sidewall so if you are off-roading, bouncin back and forth, you maybe have a lighter cooler than this fridge, you don't have to worry about anything tipping over against it, that wall will keep it on there and just keep it in place. With the cooler removed you can see how we installed it with these bolts. One thing you might run into is the bolts kinda stick out on this end. This is how the instructions recommend installing it. You could flip these the other way, but then you're gonna get snagged on that if you walk by this and you don't pull out the next section so that could be kind of a problem too.
One thing we thought of, maybe, just flipping these bolts over on this side so they point out here and that gives you a little space in that corner, so if your cooler or fridge is a little bit bigger you can set it down and slide it this way and that way it'll be away from these and not sittin on top of em and then these will stick out and that won't cause any trouble back here. The whole thing's made out of black powder coat steel so it's made really strong, it feels strong. It doesn't feel like it's gonna easily bend or cause any issues. It's good to have that reinforcement here. Like I said, as a wall, if something was to tip on there it can take it, it's gonna be just fine.
But I think it is a nice addition to your trail kitchen. The Molle grids gonna work with both the stove, trail kitchen and the one with the compartment like we have installed now. So, it's gonna attach the same way to both of those and be out of the way. And it also, when you have it on there, it doesn't sacrifice any of the sliding or space in your Jeep. It does take up a little extra here, but it still slides just fine and it's still a nice way to, kind of, keep everything in one spot.
Well, I think that about does it. Thanks for hanging out and I hope this helped..

I put in a 2015 Xterra Pro 4X and mounted it on plywood. Mounted the plywood to the rails in the Xterra. Also made a hatch door so to use the storage in the Xterra's floor.
